I had about 200K worth of items on the auction house that expired during downtime today. I just logged in, and there is nothing in my mailbox. It says that I have unread mail. When I buy items, it says my mailbox is full. I check my mailbox and those items are there, but not the expired items. It still says I have unread mail. Anyone else?

Try the usual suspects and the same basic troubleshooting steps Blizz would ask of you: exit game, delete cache folder, disable addons, try again.
If that doesn’t work, do a full UI reset.
You are not deleting anything and it’s super simple. But it can solve a lot of issues.

it doesn’t work
I have about 5M worth of items on the AH that are all missing after they were either cancelled or expired. Happened just after patch yesterday. I’ve cleared cache, WTF, etc. nothing.
If I post an item now and cancel it, it returns to my mailbox immediately.
However, everything I posted pre patch, is missing.
There must be others out there with the same problem

Same thing happened to me but I got it resolved. I had to use their ticket system in game, and asked blizzard for help. The person that responded to my ticket several hours later said I had the mail but couldn’t access it for whatever reason.
So they got it out for me some how, had about 300 arclights and reinforced machine chasis returned to me.
Also for some reason I had another item from dragon isles returned to me as well. Some dragon riding customization glyph.

Over 40 replies with the in game report system to try and get my items back and it’s a constant run around without them giving the items back. I placed an auction for 29,808 Basically Beef before the update and after the update it is completely missing. I have clips and timestamps of when the auction was placed and for how much and still nothing but a run around with the GMs.
Blizzard does not take this information. They go by their own logs. Sounds like another corrupted data problem and they’re losing people’s stuff again. 
Good rule of thumb is never have stuff in your mail or on the AH before a major patch. This sadly isn’t a new thing.

They are showing as being unopened mail. I have 110+

The AH and mail issues have been a thing for ages, though. It’s why I always warn my guildies never to have anything in the mail or on the AH when a major patch maintenance hits.

I got a response from a GM about this. They are aware and working on it with no ETA for resolution.

Oh good. I just submitted a ticket for my 5+ million items lost off the auction house from the patch a bit ago. Hopefully they can figure it out… it’s stressful
I wouldn’t get your hopes up. If it is a data loss, like the guild bank issue, you can pretty much kiss everything goodbye.

I got a response back and it is a known issue. They can see all my missing items, but they dont show in your mailbox.
Here is part of the response:
“At this point, we kindly recommend waiting until the next weekly maintenance, which should address this display error and restore the visibility of your items.”
Lol this is the exact same thing they told us with the missing guild bank items. “Well, darn it, we can see the items in your bank but for some reason you can’t.”

Just to give an update: All my items were in my mailbox today(multiple chars too)… So they were able to resolve it for me. Sounds like it is affecting a ton of players. They also said they can guarantee no data loss on this. They have all the logs and it is in the database. Just a visibility thing.
Anyways, hopefully anyone else in this boat will have their’s fix now or very soon.
