Missing house

So, when housing launched I bought the first plot I saw so I could see how everything worked. The house was on the plot, was able to decorate and add items as I saw fit. Fast forward a few hours and I decide I want to switch plots.

I relinquished the plot before switching to a new one and then proceeded to my new plot. When I paid the price, it gave me the little cinematic you get upon purchasing one, but my house wasn’t there.

In fact, no matter what I do, the house will not appear. Doesn’t matter the neighborhood, doesn’t matter the plot and it doesn’t matter which Horde toon I try to use. The house WILL NOT appear. It says it will use the previous layout, but there is no previous layout due to me relinquishing the original plot.

Has anyone figured this out or have any insight? Any and all help would be appreciated.

PS–This is only an issue on my Horde toon. My Alliance toon’s house works as intended and has had zero issues.

I guess the first thing to do is to check your housing dashboard and see if a Horde house is listed. There should be a dropdown on the shown address if there is a second house.

If it shows a house in the Horde neighborhood, try teleporting to the house using the button on the dashboard while having the Horde house address selected.

If it only shows your Alliance neighborhood house address with no pulldown, you should be able to purchase a Horde plot.

One thing to note, if you want to move your house to another plot (same faction), you don’t have to relinquish the current plot. You just go to the new plot you want to move to and just buy that plot and it will move your house to the new plot. Relinquishing a plot just puts your house in ‘storage’ and anything you added to that house (decor) will be basically locked to the house in ‘storage’ .

Also, try logging out of the character and back on. I’ve been having issues off and on lately with not being able to ‘learn’ items like decor when I purchase them and just logging out of the character and back usually allows me to ‘learn’ the items I had purchased.

Is the new plot in a Horde Public/Guild hood? I guess it would have to be if you already have an Alliance home (it would have moved your existing Alliance house to the new plot, if that new plot were in an Alliance hood).

Only other thing I can think of is that if you saw the cinematic, did you complete the Housing Tutorial quests (all of them!) before you decided to switch plots? There were some bugs reported for those that did advanced housing edits or moving plots if they had not completed all the Housing Tutorial quests. To check if that’s the case, see if you have any intro quests with any of the NPCs in the town center, and if there are any available, pick them up and complete them, log out, then log back in, and try to place your house from storage again.

If none of that works, try submitting a ticket to get specific help for the character that originally owned the Horde Guild house.

Sorry, yall. I’ve been so busy that I forgot to check this for answers. I really appreciate your help. I’ll check with what you guys gave me and see what happens.

EDIT: Sadly, I have to report that nothing worked. :frowning: I submitted a ticket, but the only answers I got were bot answers telling me how to re-install the game and then a GM misunderstanding my problem, thinking I was wanting a third house.

I guess I’ll just have to wait for release or a GM that can actually help.
