I have always liked Classic PVP, especially AV. I did it back in the day as a holy priest. And am doing it now as a druid, which I am finding super fun and satisfying; being able to jump between all 4 roles like a true hybrid! I get to be right up in the mix of the battle, healing, entangling roots on warriors (which is lethal to them!), FF rogues, popping into bear to survive, stalking around as cat, and getting in a lot of KBs with Moonfire. It’s a great class to play if you like the role diversity!
Having said that, there are a few frustrating things around honor, which are well discussed. Namely; the honor pool and decay. I can still “no life” every spare moment of off work time and still only go a half rank per week (on my server). And the fact that one can work so many hours for honor and lose those gains has never been right. Honor should be like rep – you earned it, it’s yours.
Put those things aside though . . .
Yesterday I pulled a “no lifer” and ground out AV (with it’s 35 minute ques) from 8 am to 1.30 am the next night. Both my HonorSpy and WOW UI said I should have had 250,000 honor, because that is what I was aiming for before going to bed.
I woke up the next morning and my honor was at 162,000! Somehow I lost 88,000 honor! That has never happened before . . . seeing the interface alter the stats so much. It said I only earned 43,000 honor for the entire day. It is impossible to spend an entire day grinding AV and only get 43K honor!
Does anyone have any insights about why this would be? Is it part of hotfixes and how things are calculated/recalculated?
For obvious reasons . . . it is intensely disheartening to have put in so much time and have lost so much.
