Is anyone else missing the half spark they were supposed to recieve this week (prior to the free giveaway of course)?
I understand there is now a NPC (as a result of exploiters) that has resulted in people being able to reach 2 full sparks already, but we are having trouble receiving our normal half spark for the week (from before that drama ever unfolded). We just can’t get it to appear seemingly no matter what we do!
My husband has been at 1 spark exactly. He did every weekly quest he could find, opened the pinnacle chest, delve related quests, he completed the titan discs, I even had him go into war mode for the weekly Undermine sparks of war quest and killed both world bosses but absolutely nothing is awarding him his spark.
If he goes and accepts the half spark reward thing from the new vendor he will simply be stuck at 1.5. Is there anyone else experiencing this problem (or have any advice)? Thanks!

The GM is giving us a “sorry but there’s nothing will do” cookie cutter responses and to try our hand at some nebulous bug report.
I really miss the old WoW GMs and they insanely good customer service. I guess it’s just an entirely different time.

I would guess that it’s possible he only got 1 half last week and already got the one from the quest this week (not the bonus, the weekly).
I would suggest running LFR to see if 1 drops. This is the catch up mechanism if you get behind (doing other content).
Edit: Try running this script. If it says 1 he already got his weekly this week. If it says 0 he hasn’t gotten his weekly for this week (assuming he still hasn’t gotten the free one).

So here’s where we are at now:
Last week he created the full completed Spark (one fractured spark from the weekly cache and one from the quest at the catalyst where you turn in the fracture spark and get 2 back). He then used the two fractured sparks to create a full spark.
The full spark from last week was placed in his bank and is still sitting there completed.
The script claims he has indeed earned 2/2 possible fractured spark of fortunes, but even before he completed this free giveaway today he only had the one completed full spark. Prior to the giveaway, he obviously completed all weekly quests and still hasn’t recieved this weeks normal half spark (if that makes sense).
We never recieved that other half from the weekly quests this week, like we’ve absolutely done everything at this point. I think based on what the script is saying and the fact that he’s now stuck at just one and a half suggests that something may have gone wrong.
I checked his bags/banks and can only find the half spark (which leaves him at 1.5). Bagnon and other addons are confirming that’s the only half spark he has. Worse still, on his alt he went and tested this all again and is up to 2 full sparks now (and able to make his weapon).
But yea, we’ll keep trying to figure it out. It seems like something is miscounting one of the freebies he got (perhaps the original catalyst quest, not the exploit one they gave away today) as if it was a weekly reward? Strange. We filed a bug report, but at the very least thank you again for that script!

So he has the half spark that’s the freebie now right? And he’s missing the spark half from this week’s weekly quest? If it says 2/2 it’s saying he got them all this week. 
I don’t know how you skimmed over all his bags and banks, but I would suggest searching the item name “fractured spark of fortunes” after clicking on the bank. This should open all the bags on the character if you just click on the bank person and use the search bar either on the backpack or in the bank. It will gray out everything else so all you have to do is look for the orange crystal icon. Look at the bags on the character, the personal bank and all its bags, and the personal reagent bank. Just to make sure it wasn’t put in any of these. I know some people have mods that clean up their bags or organize in a certain way so maybe it got thrown somewhere not obvious.
If that doesn’t help I’ve got nothing.

After a intensive review (microscope in hand) of his bags/banks/reagants and everything else it’s indeed missing.
I think all being said we might have a bug on our hands! Your help is truly appreciated regardless, I guess sometimes things like these can happen. I’ll post if something changes, either way thanks again!

im here to say i also ran into this issue on my alt. main was able to pick up 4th piece from the hotfix and get second craft but not my alt.
same thing only have 3/4 sparks after the hotfix and turning in the intro quest, completed all my weekly Pinnacle caches/raid/m+ content.
talked to a GM and ofc all they say is to report it here in the forums… guess im just gonna be behind till future weeks. multi dollar company.

I’m missing the half-spark because I accidentally crafted a full spark without turning in the original half-spark quest and apparently the free half-spark is locked behind the first half-spark quest.
I’m very annoyed.

This exact same thing happened to me. I also submitted a bug report to no avail. Supposedly the developers are aware? It’s a really bummer being half a spark behind everyone. Hopefully they figure this out.

I am also having this issue. I can confirm that I already got the two weekly sparks and turned in both quests but only have 1.5 sparks. According to a gm, (and it seems to confirm my experience) the ‘A Sparkling Fortune’ quest actually takes all the half sparks you have, so if you turned it in after you had gotten your second one (but didn’t combine them), you would be down half a spark.

That might be something new. I was able to get both halves and turn it into a full spark to get my 2nd crafted piece on two seperate characters.

Yea, alot of us here have been able to get our 2h weapons crafted on alts but sadly mains (like my husband) are still stuck on 1.5.
There’s definintely some kind of bug that’s affected a small (but significant) amount of players right now with that half spark never being awarded (though I believe the game thinks it’s been awarded based on running that script a helpful person suggested we try above).

I am missing a spark as well. I turned in the disc quest and nothing happened so I’m guessing i’m just hosed like the rest of us? I tried to look at support but they just say that you will catch up eventually. Not great when you are in prog raid.

im trying to be competitive and while others are making weapon crafts and second embellishments i have to show up to raid this week with less stats and have less ability to push keys.

Chiming in here for my friend, he was likewise affected by this, got the freebie this week but unable to get the one actually meant to get through normal quests/caches/drops. Multiple tickets, cookie cutter response that nothing they can do. SO he’s just screwed? 1/2 a spark behind for the entire patch, gg?

I have a friend in the same boat. It seems like his first two sparks both were taken and then rewarded by the initial “Get half a spark” quest from Custodian Khubon, as he didn’t do that until week 2. So a net gain of zero spark fragments, instead of coming out one ahead like the quest is expected to.

I also didn’t get one from the pinnacle quest this week or any normal boss, or any of the 3 delves…so I’m a full spark behind!?
