In many parts of the game, dialogue with MOTHER fails to play. This happens perhaps 50% of the time, and not only does the audio not play but the text doesn’t appear in my chat box either. This happens most of the time in Uldir during the conversation with Bran after her fight; I will see all of Bran’s dialogue, but only some of MOTHER’s. When I do get MOTHER’s dialogue, it’s usually only her first few lines and then just silence between Bran talking.
This has also happened recently during the Network Diagnostics quest; I had to quit and restart several times to get everything she said about the forges. Also, when I returned to the Chamber of Heart at the end of the Deeper Into Darkness quest, her side of the conversation with Ra-den was missing. It was only by walking out and back in to re-trigger it that she spoke again, and even then it took three tries before she would speak her last line.
There are a ton of bugs like this throughout the story quests; either the conversations are mistimed or there are lines that are just plain missing. The Ra-den/MOTHER conversation was particularly bad for me, as MOTHER didn’t say a single thing. I’ve also encountered missing lines from Wrathion, and people frequently talking over each other. It’s really wrecking the story.

I was about to come report this until I saw here it had already been reported.
QUESTION: Does anyone have a complete script of the dialogue between MOTHER and Ra-den from when you turn in “Deeper Into the Darkness”? This is the part where Ra-den is commenting on MOTHER’s ability with the forge? or decontamination?
I’ve run the quests twice now and both times got really incomplete dialogue in this part. 
(Notable: The two play throughs were incomplete in different ways, so I get the gist, but still…)
Oh my god. This bug. I have been reporting and submitting tickets to GMs about this bug since the end of Legion with nothing having been done about it.
I just encountered this bug on the Network quest on one of my characters. But my main issue with this bug is on my Hunter, specifically during the Class Hall mount quest scenario Night of the Wilds. I have never been able to get Odyn to say his lines, specifically about Haukenulfnir the wolfhawk, to my belf hunter Valianya. He says everything else just fine up until Haukenulfnir spawns and then goes dead silent. It is a completely 100% repeatable issue on this quest for me. I have done everything I can on my end. I’ve dropped and restarted the quest dozens of times. I’ve waited and waited in case it was a timing issue. I’ve killed Haukenulfnir and waited. I’ve even gone up and sat in front of Odyn waiting for him to talk again. I’ve disabled all of my addons. I reset my client with new interface, etc. folders. Nothing works to fix it.
I just get the same spiel over and over from the GMs about how it must be my addons messing things up, or I was ‘too far away from Odyn to hear it.’ But that’s garbage because I’ve seen youtube videos of how the dialogue is supposed to go, and I was well within range of Odyn for that to trigger like it did in the youtube videos. And I’ve removed all my addons and done it with a default game, and it still doesn’t work.
This is an actual glitch in their dialogue popup system and not just addons messing things up. Every time I reported it I told them that this could happen to other players and leave players not knowing wtf is going on in a quest, because so much of their quest instructions and lore is contained in the popup talking heads these days. And not even the text in the chat-box triggers when this glitch happens.
So everyone who has this missing dialogue issue needs to report it as a bug. Report it in game. Report it here. If enough people report it, they will actually have to do something about it finally, after years of knowing about it since Legion.

Ra-Den and MOTHER have this admiration thing going on. It’s almost like they are flirting with one another. Which is important considering Ra-den’s subsequent heroism. I think this dialogue helps explain why, so its a shame it is lost.
