Missing Decor

Posting for a friend who prefers to stay off the forums:

I had 2 banners on my house at the beach and after I changed plots, I was going to put them on my new house. But not only can I not find them in inventory, I couldn’t even find them in the catalog. I mean, its too much to go over with a fine tooth comb but it wasn’t in wall hangings or under banners or under Elf culture. I’m hoping its just a glitch.

Anyone else missing decor?

Note: I myself have not purchased Midnight yet and so I don’t have access to housing. My friend texted me about the issue stated above, asking if I’ve read anything about missing decor, so I decided to post her question here under my account.

EDIT to add:

I actually didn’t have to start wholly from scratch , it did appear to transfer fine. Sorry about that not being clear. I didn’t check about the banners one way or the other before I changed over to nelf house, I assumed any exterior decs went back into storage(I know I didn’t lose my ivy, for example), it was when I went to put the banner on the new chimney I couldn’t find them. I tried putting back to human house and my customizations from before were gone so no chimney at all

I think its not even in her storage to place to begin with? When she moved plots, she had to start over rebuilding her house from scratch.
