I have an addon called GarrisonCommander and one of the dependencies is “Blizzard_GarrisonUI”. When I open the Addons menu, I can’t find any addons that start with “Blizzard_”. I’ve tried deleting the cache, wtf, and interface folders, repairing the game, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
I remember seeing the “Blizzard_” addons in the past but I don’t know where they went. Anyone know how to get them back?
As of 8.1, addons are inside the _retail_ folder and then the interface and addons. If that’s an unupdated wod era addon, it may not be able to find the new file location.
I was able to use the addon in 8.1 and I remember seeing the “Blizzard_” addons but they’re not in the new folder, even after completely reinstalling the game. Any idea how I can get them back?
I think they took that structure out, but I could be mistaken.
Any addon starting with Blizzard_ is stored internally to the game and can’t be viewed in explorer (they used to be listed under the addons folder until MoP I think, copies can be extracted to see how they work but the addons themselves can’t be altered).
The addons are still there. Blizzard_GarrisonUI is marked as LoadOnDemand so GarrisonCommander can’t use any of it’s features until it is loaded (or also maked LoadOnDemand and LoadWith Blizzard_GarrisonUI)

Garrison Command will be worked on this weekend according to the Author on the forum. He/She is very good about getting things repaired and working again but most people have real lives to attend to so weekends are generally fix time for free addons. =)

Sorry if you took it that way. I too needed Garrison Commander working so went to the Forum and that is what he/she basically said. Was just giving you the information so you didn’t have to look for the Addon page and search for the authors response. Have a great day!
you cant get them back, as mentioned theyre internal. you can however extract them out of the game if you need to see whats there.
in the launcher under game settings add -console to the command line options, start the game then once at the character selection screen hit ~ (tilde character), then type in exportInterfaceFiles code
they’ll be under ...\_retail_\BlizzardInterfaceCode\Interface\AddOns along with all the other blizzard interface code bits and pieces.
if you want the artwork as well then enter exportInterfaceFiles art
disable the -console option when youre done
