Missed out on Vessel of Horrific Visions for arbitrary/lazy reasons

I complete my major assault this week and didn’t get the Vessel. Why? Because I already had five in my inventory. When I went to open a support ticket, I find out that:

This is, to put it bluntly, complete horse excrement. There is literally no reason an item that can’t fit in your inventory can’t get sent to the Postmaster for future collection. And five is a completely arbitrary number to limit these Vessels to anyways. There’s no reason to limit them. It doesn’t harm anything.

It’s lazy, lazy, lazy, lazy.

I look at it as having 7 actually. 5 in bags/bank and enough currency for 2 more. Idk if we’re prevented from having all 7 at once, though.

I don’t think so.

It is weird that they stop the number at 5.

You were effectively punished for saving your visions for later.

10/10.

Not sure I understand the reasoning. You can still only get one level a week on the cloak, right?

You can get multiple, but it’s capped how far you can go, eight is the max right now.

Yup yup. Which is why it seems weird to me to limit the vessels.

I saw someone with rank 9 on their cloak. I feel so far behind for nothing.

Oh, was it rank 9?

Not gonna lie, I kinda just got the upgrade and didn’t pay attention to level at all as I was raiding.

Correct, but the N’Zoth major assault quest doesn’t work like literally every other quest in the game.

Normally if your bags are full, the game WILL NOT let you turn a quest in until you free up space. The N’Zoth major assault quest, contrary to every other quest in-game, DOES let you turn it in and PERMANENTLY DELETES any items you don’t have space for.

It’s. Ridiculous.

After rank 8 you only get one upgrade a week. Why arent you running the visions exactly?

Because he’s lazy

it’s a holdover from when the coalescing visions were rare and before we had a weekly catch up mechanic and the amount we got was very small.

5 attempts make sense then as you probably won’t be doing many frivolous vision running like we do now.

but then they decided to throw so many of us that we can afford to throw runs away, without addressing the cap.

personally ive taken to only doing what is required and using the mask system to make those shorter runs more challenging and fun. i won’t be doing a full clear with a mask but i won’t need to for my pages.

I have rank 9 on my warrior and it was super easy to get. I would be higher but they limit the upgrades to once a week.

Did you do it solo or in a group?

Your inventory wasn’t full. You said yourself you had 5 of an item that plainly reads “Unique (5)” on it and decided to go for a 6th.

I solo it. At first I was using dps spec, but got an echoing void main hand on prot, and found it it way easier to go prot beause of the way it scales.

That doesn’t matter.

The issue is that he had 5 of a “Unique (5)” item and then handed in a quest that rewards that very item while currently having 5 of it.

in almost every other case in the game, the game will simply stop you from acting

try putting a second leviathan gem in your equipment; the game doesn’t delete it and tell you it’s unique, you can’t do it.

We aren’t getting launch of Shadowlands until November at the earliest anyways, so why rush this nonsense (from Blizzard’s perspective).

And in case you think I am pulling this out of nowhere. The final +3 resistance upgrade to our cloaks (aka like crystalized fel) will not occur until September 8, 25 weeks of +3 upgrade.

As we all know no ongoing content drops while gear can still be improved, so that rules out August and first of September releases. Then there will likely be a catchup time of a month after that, and then 4-6 weeks of pre-patch after that. Which would easily land us in November. And since there is no sign of an alpha as of now, you all better pray for a December release.
