Especially if you don’t even have the enemy targeted. The only other way your pet could start to attack the creature would be if you have some sort of mouseover attack command-macro where that is included.
Hmm, set a focus target and use your macro for MD on it, and nothing else.
Make sure you double check that the focus target actually receives the MD effect(should be displayed as the focus target gets a small swirl over it’s head for a second, followed by it growing in size for the duration).
If your focus target does not show this MD animation, you’re not actually casting MD on it.
