Blood elves and nightborne are now best friends. Best lore development ever. Eat it up alliance. Haha.
You’ve only been on the forums for like a month and I already know but to all but ignore you in every thread you surface.
Citation needed. The way people on this forum claim this, you’d think they never actually played through the event themselves.
Could you show me a single instance of a named Nightborne character being present during the War of Thorns? Can you show me a Nightborne character clearly stating their approval of the burning of Teldrassil? No, you can’t, because this perspective was never explored in-game.
When it came time to move against Sylvanas, the orchestrator of the burning of Teldrassil, Thalyssra stood with Lor’themar and Saurfang in opposing Sylvanas.
I am not raging about anything. I never wanted the Nightborne, though I’ll admit I wanted them to remain neutral to live upto their claims of being defenders and not conquerors. But go ahead and extrapolate what you like, it matters not to me what you think.
Well my answer wasn’t directed at you so we are even here. We all should be more vocal about what we like in life.
For the love of God, someone find his off switch.
Tyrande was written fine in that scenario. She was not being distrustful of arcane magic, how can you make that claim?
She was distrustful of specific people for very specific reasons.
Everyone in that scenario was mostly written well, until Thalyssra suddenly made sweeping generalisations.
Also, WotA Tyrande was naive and hadn’t seen people at their worst yet. Current Tyrande has several reasons not to trust the people she encounters, that doesn’t make her wrong. Flawed perhaps, but it depends on the context, and in this context, she has good reason.
Not exactly. In that case, it’s not necessarily inconsistent.
She seems to primarily have a problem with arcane magic in the hands of the same privileged kaldorei ruling class that keeps producing maniacs who invite demons to conquer Azeroth. Between Azshara and the War of the Ancients, Kael’thas and the Sunwell disaster and Elisande collaborating with Gul’dan (plus arguably the naga situation in general), the Highborne and their descendants have set some rather poor historical precedents for their ability to be responsible with magic. Tyrande - and anyone else in her position - would have to be blind to not recognize that sort of pattern.
Remember, she and Malfurion tried trusting a cadre of Highborne defectors before. And it didn’t work out very well, because in spite of everything that happened, Dath’remar apparently couldn’t comprehend why regular night elf society would respond negatively to behavior that looked an awful lot like their former oppressors trying to seize power again.
well the Nightbourne had joined prior to war of thorns and players were able to make PC’s to run through that content hence there were nightbourne present. So just like there were tauren, Goblins who weren’t present they were still members of the Horde forces.
The fact that Thylrssa didn’t have the nightbourne leave the Horde right after they found out about the invasion speaks volumes about their integrity. They were happy to condone the death of the people who had just helped liberate their city.
She didn’t stand against the burning of Teldrassil, barely mentions it so she doesn’t care.
The Nightbourne are exactly as Tyrande said they were, Spineless cowards that hide and bend the knee to dictators.
As I thought. You have no actual evidence to support your claims, which in the end, really just amounts to the head-canon/narrative you’d like to be true based on your own bias against the Nightborne and Thalyssra.
Tyrande tried to impose the same no arcane rules she laid out to the Sunstriders to Thalyssra. What right did Tyrande have to tell Thaylssra what to do? Also Tyrande now accepts arcane magic as pointed out before because now mages are accepted into the night elf society.
So she’s trying to use old rules that she herself doesn’t follow anymore. She even asked if Thalyssra was going to be the next Azshara lol. You shouldn’t upon meeting your kin tell them they’re going to become the one elf who ruined their entire empire and almost ended the world.
Tyrande was from Suramar, but she doesn’t know what they went through for the past 10,000 years. Heck no one did because Suramar was retconned from a destroyed city in WC3 and WotA. Tyrande didn’t take time to listen like she did when she was written by Knaak.
Um, no. It would be better if you go back to the quests. The demand is for the Nightwell.
Well, she already knew these people and what they did before and just witnessed what they did again, so what exactly was she supposed to wait to hear? Actions speak louder than words.
Tyrande is alliance. That makes her wrong by default.
If Alliance is wrong by default, why are we allowed to post on the forums?
Everyone has opinions. That’s cool.
You might wanna reconsider your posts considering what can get people banned here
I think both Nightbourne and Bloodelfs have to remember they are only still existing due to the Alliance and the races comprising it saving them over and over again.
They are only Horde because the game needs balanced population numbers. Lore wise there is very little reason for them to stay with the Horde.
She did not know these people. She’s been gone for 10,000 years. She came in as High Priestess of Elune instead of as Tyrande. She assumed Thalyssra would be just like Azshara, which she shouldn’t have done.
Tyrande Whisperwind says: Arcanist Thalyssra. I remember where your order stood in the War of the Ancients.
Not sure what she’s talking about because Elisande sealed off Suramar so Tyrande would have zero knowledge about where Thalyssra stood in WotA because prior to the retcon, that city was destroyed. The Night Elves figured it was lost. So not sure how Tyrande has any knowledge about where Thalyssra stands.
Then Tyrande says she’ll see where Elune’s wisdom guides her on the matter.
Where Elunes wisdom guides her on the Suramar Elves? The Elves from the same city with the TEMPLE OF ELUNE? Oh yeah Tyrande, I wonder what Elune thinks about the city that housed the greatest temple of worship for her. She most likely hates it right?
The writing was inconsistent because they needed Nightborne to go Horde. Not that I oppose them being on the Horde. I like my Nightborne on the Horde. But that plotline had so many “huh” moments in it.
You are mocking and disrespecting my second favorite race. I don’t have to be nice to you.
I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about.
