But it’s a clefthoof.
Since clefthoof is arguably the best PVE pet in the game, you might want to pick one up before it possibly gets fixed.
Notably, it’s a bit smaller than the normal clefthoofs, which IMO makes it better for that reason alone.

Rhinos have always been clefthoof. Its Azeroths native alternative you can go to Borean Tundra am BM hunter and tame them. But yea they might put the wrong model spawning cause that not a rhino.
This is awesome. I’ve been wanting a smaller model clefthoof for years and this fits perfectly.
I know it’s likely a bug and may get fixed, but I really hope they let everyone who already tamed one keep the clefthoof designation.
Every other pet with that basic look is a scalehide, except for the one spirit beast.

As Survival, I can tame this - which I shouldn’t be able to do - but I can’t summon it. I wonder it’s listed as a Scalehide for taming, but as a Clefthoof for summoning?
I wonder if anyone not BM can tame it and also summon it.

They are a left over relic from the beta. Blizzard must have used the wrong skin and just never switch it, yet. Petopia as posted this as well, so just a matter of time before Blizzard come in and switched them to a Rhino.

I got a tundra rhino as soon as I read this. My current clefthoof just dwarfed my gnome hunter and this one shrinks down to a respectable size for my gnome.
It does walk kind of funny, like an old man with bad knees. I ended up naming it GimpyBlue
I would tame it and they may let all the Clefthoof skin stay, and just have it as a retired skin. Like the Grimtotem or Grubs.
So that is why i can’t summond it with survival hunter
