Reposting this, Blizz please respond. My “meaningful” choice is feeling not so meaningful these days…
That would be INSANELY broken. 3 Clearcasting charges on demand every 1.5min? It wouldn’t make it competitive, it would completely blow the other 3 covenants out of the water.
I’m not Venthyr but it looks like what it does right now is give you roughly enough mana during your burn phase to get off an extra Arcane Blast than you otherwise would. And I don’t play Frost but it says it gives you Brain Freeze, which gives you a CHANCE to empower your Flurry, not guaranteed? So by giving you 12% mana and allowing you what is essentially a free Arcane Blast it’s give you a x% chance to get a Clearcasting proc.
Sounds about even.
i dont think it needs clearcasting, i would rather see a reduction on the proc timer from 6 to 5 and maybe a boost in mana from 4 to 10%, because getting 1.2 arcane blasts after 12sec (min), that will more than likely not give you a clearcasting charge, is a bit weak, should atleast give us enough mana for three, that way we have three chances at clearcasting.
Max charge arcane blast costing 10% mana, regen also being around 2% every second, so 10% ever 5 seconds, meaning to get back one blast you need 5 seconds. 4% mana means you save 2 seconds, 6 seconds total in regen over 12sec (min), its weak… if it was 10% at a faster rate, we would see 15seconds saved over 10seconds (min), an actual full arcane blast increase in sustainability and prolonging a burst more effectively since the full effect actually fits into your burst window where you can get all the mana to utilize. specially when the proc timer doesn’t actually align perfectly and it takes longer then 10second, lets say 1-2 seconds longer on each proc, making it more like 13-16seconds, which would mean you would see the full mana in your burst a lot more often. (all of this based on 5sec proc cap with 10% mana)
Increasing it to the actual cost of an arcane blast would also make playing around the enlightened talent more viable and interesting, while also lowering the proc timer would allow for more functionality on what content it could be used on, over all increasing the interest and effectiveness of the ability while also increasing the skill in use and options in talents that would effect when and how to use it most effectively, and not massively increasing its damage through straight clearcasting procs.
Dude, you don’t even know the mage class but then claim it’d be insanely broken? Brain freeze 100% empowers flurry, that’s literally all it does. Mirror’s of torment gives fireblast’s back for fire (or close to one) which is very strong. For Arcane it gives you a few seconds of mana regen worth of mana. It’s super weak right now, and more importantly it isn’t fun to use. But, with how switching covenants is right now, it feels equally crap to change and regrind campaign quests, renown, followers (I assume), etc. Give it half power clearcasting procs if it’s as INSANELY broken as you say. I’d like to see some math behind your claim. Mirror’s of Torment for Frost is very strong and feels good with brain freeze procs.
i agree, but 3 clearcasting procs is WAY overpowered, however I do think that giving us a clearcast on the LAST proc would be a good compromise, that way we at least get something from it like fire and frost do.
Really? Because the tooltip says it has a 30% chance. Not 100%. So I don’t know. But like I said in my post that you apparently didn’t read, I don’t play frost. I play arcane. And I can tell you with 100% certainty that 3 on demand clearcasting procs every 90 seconds is broken as hell. You’d be doing a full arcane power burn phase of pooled clearcasting procs for 0 mana. Since I’m not a simulator I don’t know how you expect me to “do the math”.
You also had people already telling you two weeks ago when you posted this that 3 CC procs was a broken idea so gtfo.
