I don’t want to sound whiny here, because I actually think most of the mage class changes will work out for the best once tweaked, but I am bugged by the idea of having to include mirror image in my rotation. It just feels like an extra, uninteresting button, and I don’t find it aesthetically pleasing- not sure why.
What do you think?
Its a very iconic mage spell, and i’m super glad we have it back.
Am I happy its on the GCD and another pre-pull button I need to hit before I can start DPSing? No.
I just want it off the GCD and it’d be great to have back.

don’t use it ?
there is no shame if you don’t feel like using it / don’t find any scenario where using it makes sense, but others will find a use (a mentality I am hoping more “pro-pruners” will develop at some point)
So much this. GCD feels bad and needs to be gone. I heavily dislike spending 3-5 seconds having to push all the things before I can even get a cast off.
Remove GCD from cooldowns and instants.
I’d love if it’s off the GCD but even if it’s not I love the ability, more me’s and it really helps in duels. Not a fan of pressing a bunch of buttons off the gcd just to start my normal rotation though.
Both of these points actually makes sense to me, I do like the idea of some specs having “optional” abilities, maybe this can be one of them, or maybe I’ll come to enjoy it based on alternative strategies! Agreed on the GCD aspect of it as well.
I would like to see an interaction with mirror images and arcane. Currently we spend mana to proc clearcasting. What if restoring mana, outside of natural regen, through things like evocation and arcane barrage, had a chance to store extra images that we could summon when casting mirror images?
Oh, wait… isn’t off the GCD on alpha? I thought it was…
Anyway, it either has to be ogcd or have its damage nerfed to the point that it wouldn’t represent anything signiticative for PVE and instead having the spell to become a soloing tool to peel stuff off the mage.
Because basically that is why people take this talent nowadays, while leveling or gearing up or to solo something a bit more rough.
