Have a couple of questions, especially since I just started Herbalism…

Have we figured out what zones is best to farm for each?

Which is the most valuable nodes for each profession?
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Herbs, I would start farming for the materials that are required for cauldrons. When season starts, people will start crafting those frequently, so you’ll always have a profit from that.
Motes are also pretty good, you can get them both from herbing and mining.
As for zones/routes, try the method.gg guide.

My vote is Zul’Aman for the best zone to farm in as long as you can farm while mounted. I want to like Voidstorm for herbalism, but every node has 4 mobs guarding it.
The only issue with Zul’Aman is that the special nodes (wild) spawn mobs.
I will probably get yelled at for saying this but:
It’s debatable if the ones that spawn from mining are worth killing. The ones that spawn from herbalism are 100% not worth killing. The mining ones give you ore and a mote that sells for 5g. The lashers from herbalism only give the 5g mote. If you try to kill these and another player shows up, you will be killing his mobs too and for 0 gain.
I’ve seen chat get testy when players leave their wild node mobs, but the smart play is to do that.
The herb ones 100% not worth killing. But to avoid people having to deal with my mobs when I spawn them and fly away, I just avoid zul’aman when herbing.
Motes are:
So, as you can see, the motes are really not worth much and thus not worth your time killing wild node mobs for herbalism, since they only give motes.
However, they are worth it for mining because the mobs give ore. If you spec into the first node of the wild wheel in Over-LODED (mining specialization) the mobs drop twice as many ore. Essentially this becomes like mining 5 nodes. If you use this, you are guaranteed to get at least 4 ore from the mobs, which is more than you can get from a non-finesse procced ore node.
Also finesse can proc off of each roll done (again, with the single point in Wild you get two rolls per mob). That means you have 5 possible chances at finesse proc’ing. This means you can get a grand total of 30 ore from just one wild ore node. Of course, that’s with everything rolling in your favor
So here’s a typical result (using green finesse tool)
I mined a wild copper node.
The main node gave 1 copper ore and 2 motes of wild magic
Mob#1 gave:
1 brilliant silver ore (roll#1)
5 umbral tin ore (roll#2) (finesse proc)
1 mote of wild magic
Mob#2 gave:
6 refulgent copper ore (both rolls gave the same thing so it combined that into 1 result) (finesse proc)
1 mote of wild magic
This one node gave me 13 ore. (Again, max is 30, min is 5)
So these are absolutely worth your time.
