I know you can have different levels and they’re all tied to expansion now… but where can I get the Draenor mining? I have a pally I’m doing Draenor with and she gets no mining exp from the gathering dailies in garrison. I unlearned, and then relearned from trainer in Stormshield, but nothing happens when I mine at the garrison. I just get the ore, no experience. What am I doing wrong or where should I go?
Maybe try mining a node or two out in the world outside your garrison and see if a quest item drops that teaches you the mining skill you need to start getting experience points. I think that’s how it worked in that expansion.

Mining and Herbing in the garrison mine and herb garden do not give skill ups and they do not drop the secrets of Draaenor X books to learn the draenor skill.
You have to min/herb outside the garrison to get akill ups.

This. I think you used to get skill-ups during the expansion, but it was changed at some point afterward. What is also annoying (at least the last time I bothered), miners of insufficient skill get nuggets of ore from the garrison mine while non-miners get whole ore.
I don’t think that’s the case any more with the revamped profession system. Now that it’s all separated by expansions, you’re back to getting regular drops from nodes instead of fragments.
