It should not be possible to queue for any PVP with zero PVP gear, there needs to be a minimum PVP item level for all game modes.
A full set of gear is easily acquirable on the Auction House, there is literally no excuse to enter a match without it, and Blizzard is hurting the PVP scene by allowing this.

So in your eyes “chillin” equates to an entire team running at the enemy team and dying within 5 seconds of combat?

then again, I also no-lifed Shadowlands PvP and had to deal with one-sided gear gap battlegrounds for literally 80% of my games

The PvP playerbase numbera got obliterated during Shadowlands, if we start restricting normal battlegrounds too much we’re gonna end up with massive que’s, we gotta welcome new players even if they’re not the best
Maybe Blizz should just have a minimum iLvl scale in PvP like they did with solo shuffle brawl back in Shadowlands

The keyboard turners dying in unranked are equally as inept at having money/awareness to self-craft/buy the green crafted set. And you can never teach them that they are playing just noticeably wrong.

I could see base level PvP gear bought with gold from PvP vendors with higher levels earned normally through PvP activities but relying on the AH, yeah no.
What are u basing this off of? When you Que up for a RANDOM bg where the type of players are random the map is random what they are wearing is random how they play is random ….you mean that niche? Cuz dude that’s exactly what it’s for a mixing pot of all levels of players. When i Que up random bg I understand that I’m gonna either be playing beside a gladiator or some drunk guy playing a blood elf in a loin cloth. Totally random.
Why don’t you try this. Que up rated pvp. Everyone’s got the same ilvl as me. Quit sitting at the kids table and then coming on here and complaining you’re surrounded by kids.

The Auction House is region-wide, it’s no longer restricted per-server.
You can earn more than 3K farming mats for 15 minutes.
For commodities not crafted items
I can see dead servers having high costs on the AH, but you should be able to get the mats extremely cheap and then use the crafting order system to get them made. They do scale to 398 in PvP, not just 340.
The better option is to just do a bit of BGs in the 61-69 bracket while leveling. You can actually easily have enough honor for the full set of gear before you hit max level. And you need even less honor if you have a main to send primal chaos for the two 424 crafted pieces when you ding 70.
You can also do the wPvP weekly and get trophies if you aren’t going to hit 70 before the reset. You won’t get the 60 conquest you get from doing it at max level, but if you take a while to level you can amass some trophies and instantly have 421 gear when you ding. I’ve been slowly leveling my paladin just in BGs and he has like 30 trophies, lol.
Go do rated BGs if you want to restrictions.

Even in sl the leather crafteds for fresh level cap were insaneley priced.
the sick punchline is with so many running kill animal dailies…you could pull in tons of skins to make this stuff. the mats were basically free and you didn’t even kill the damn mobs. I could skin 15 minutes straight not killing one animal myself lol.
yet still AH charged out the nose for them. I sold cheap since yeah…I put no work here. 20 questors left me 100 corpses…I cleaned that out lol.
Now whether a real player got these or the dude charging like 300% more at least (to control market they buy cheap stuff and relist their price) I don’t know.
For rated, sure I can see that. But non rated stuff shouldn’t require it, after all that is where you go to earn it to begin with.
398 green gear can be purchased from the AH and 411 honor gear only takes a few hours.
