Im thinking about coming back to wow for season 4… I haven’t played since the second week of season 2. What ilvl do I need to jump straight to mythic zeros. Im like ilvl 435 or something so i assume that’s to low?

Bear in mind Mythic 0s are now the equivalent of 10s without an affix (so will feel like an 8).
You may be best off doing a few heroics for the 476 gear first then smash some 0’s.
Have play tested them on PTR in my current gear, easy smash on 480 gear.

I’m also coming back for season 4. According to what I’ve read Mythic 0’s will now drop 480 ilvl gear, and it’s also supposed to be more challenging.
If I had to guess, around 460 ilvl might be considered appropriate before attempting them.
TBC Timewalking will also be a thing this week. If that drops heroic dungeon ilvl gear it might be easier to just spam TW until you feel comfortable to take on M0. But I have no idea what ilvl gear TW will give after these changes.

I haven’t been following lately, but I keep hearing similar things to this.
Is this comparing S4 M0 difficulty to S3 M+10?
Because that makes sense, that’s just bumping up the difficulty to remain relevant with the new gear becoming available (probably more than usual, but still).
If you mean S4 M0 is the same as S4 M+10 (with no affixes) then that’s just braindead design, so I assume it’s the former, and it makes me wonder why Blizzard chose to word it that way, as it seems to have caused nothing but confusion.

Actually, probably not even a weird amount. Blizzard made the ilvl range in a given season longer last season, or 2 seasons ago, right? Then that means any adjustments to account for gear have to be larger than they would have been in the past.

You will get 40 iLVL+ upgrades from running heroics. You can probably run M0 at that iLVL as long as people do mechanics.

I see it more as a Season 3 to Season 3. Not that Season 4 M0 will be the same as Season 3 M10.
More like “In a given Season’s M10”, therefor proportional to what Season 4 M10 would’ve been.

did season 3 get nerfed cause I just looked up some friends that could barely clear 15’s in season 1 when I was doing +20 and now they are doing +25 in season 3
This remains a queueable experience.
Mythic
The tuning and rewards of this difficulty are increasing to the equivalent of a +10 dungeon with affixes in the current system.
There are no timers, affixes, or limitations on changing specializations or talents while in the dungeon.
The goal is to create a mega-dungeon like difficulty for this experience. This difficulty should present a meaningful challenge and provide commensurate rewards without the pressures of the current Mythic+ system.
Mythic 0 is still on a weekly lockout under this model

What spec? maybe they got buffed, or had a good Tier set.
wait heroics are going to give 476 gear?
I wonder if this weeks vault will give rewards based on this new ilvl increase or if it will give previous patches ilvl.

I read the article I think heroics are going to give 450ish gear since that’s what the previous mythic 0 gave
Previous and won’t be able to be upgraded. Ie will be season 3 gear…

What if you came back after season 1 and were in 300ish ilevel? 
World quests give 450ish ilevel and zone events even better.
