Minimalists Unite! Down with Bulky Transmogs!

I have always preferred a clean and simple look. Which means no big, bulky helms, shoulders and weapons. If you feel the same, show off your minimalist look!

Rate if you choose, but not necessary.

While I respect your opinion and choice to do so, I’m afraid I disagree.

I kinda like the bulky look on my female avis. Its the right mix of sexy and badass, which makes it more sexy to me.

Got one here I suppose.

(My weapon is a bit bulky though).

I’m the same way. I kind of like to keep things simple and realistic, and maybe a little skimpy at times. Some outfits have more bells and whistles to them, but I try not to go too over the top.

I agree with the OP.

In fact, I prefer to be as minimal as possible.

As yet, however, there are no ingame thongs… but I have hopes.

I respect your opinion. Even if I disagree.

But I definitely disagree.

I would love to have a choice in an elegant sleek/minimalist design, or a bulky one. For every piece of elite mythic gear or raid gear you get, it should have 2 design options that you can toggle off or on. To me that would be idea.

That is an awesome idea!

Level’d this guy to 110 to earn Nightborne Heritage only to go straight back to my simplistic noblemen look.

The problem for me with the full bulky sets is that you can’t even see the character. It’s just a big blob of monotone from head to toe, and everyone blends together, with no distinction or personalities showing through.

I’d like a graphics option to only display my gear / transmog and have everyone else dressed plainly, to both improve my frame rate and to maintain my immersion as being the hero of the story surrounded by peasants.

I recently decided to go minimalist, and now i wouldn’t dream of going back to idiotic-looking shoulder monstrosities and bizarre anime weapons that look like they’d be more at home on the scraping end of a D8 cat than in the hands of any humanoid. The toons in WoW can look quite natural and realistic, when they don’t look like a walking magnet that just strolled through a junkyard.

I call this “minimalist”, because I’m not using the helm that goes with the set (though I have both types of the helm.)

Also, the shoulders are not “huge” like they might be on some races.

I found it to be one of the better set looks, for a gnome.

For me it depends on the class. Casters and rogues I think are more suited to minimal looks, but that’s not always the case with my warrior and paladin.

On my mage I’ve been using this transmog for quite some time now. It might become even simpler once 8.2 hits and more slots can be disabled (gloves for example).

I think I’m doing pretty good on the minimalist front, what do you guys think?

I’m an altoholic, with 37 characters right now (4 of them below 111).

For every character, I turn off the helm, shoulders, cape and belt. Then I pick SMALL weapons and shields. I do this transmog every time I upgrade a slot. (I got the mount with the transmog on it, so I can do it almost anywhere).

There are a few exceptions. I like the horned hat on this female dwarf warrior, and on my male KTH warrior. I like a long cape on my Taurens (it hides the constantly-moving tail, which drives me nuts).

But I can’t stand weapons that are bigger than me, or shoulders that are bigger than me.

What even is this!? This is WoW blasphemy, is what it is!

The higher the shoulders, the closer to god.

Minimalist hunter look here.

What can I say, I like red.
