This will mind vision the first person that pops up on spy as long as you spam it. It’s toxic, and hopefully somehow gets changed in some way.
you got mind visioned cast on you while you were visible at some point, and then re-stealthed/etc. The other alternative is that he mind visioned a nearby ally and seen you and then mind visioned you.
I did this a lot in vanilla. When you cast mind vision on someone you can see anyone they can, and target them. And friendly targets are always visible when stealthed.
It’s not the addon.
Stealth takes about 3 seconds to activate for some reason, so if you stealthed near her spy addon, you could easily be mind visioned. I dot people out of their vanish and stealth all the time, even when they do it before I click them.
This is pretty shocking. Do people who make add-ones have to clear them with Blizzard first?
Blizzard supplies the API so that other people can make addons like the one that you are using. The original Decursive is one of those addons that caused Blizzard changed their API to disallow the 1 click do anything and everything.
I guess what I take from this is that unless it’s so game-breaking that Blizzard is willing to change their API (which I guess is quite a hassle) then people should adapt to the add-one as they exist today.

Most addons are useful in one way or the other. What Blizzard provided is Classic and I don’t want to see Classic become retail and thus no changes.
Blizzard has modified and protected their API over the years. They have kept this protection, which we are using in Classic now. I am ok with that.
So yes, I think people should adept to this game.
Oh definitely. Back in my Wrath days I used DBM and some form of Details at least. I had a Holy Pally and couldn’t effectively heal without them.
I didn’t know anything specific about them other than what they did though.
no, blizzard gives them the api and lets them run with it, almost entirely laissez faire. as it should be.
Now replace Mind Vision with /petattack. If the rogue or kitty goes stealthed after the hunter/warlock already sends the pet out, it will still seek out the stealthed target and knock him out of stealth (unless the rogue vanishes).
I usually manually do this (by clicking the Spy window then send the pet). So thanks for the macro.

You can just make a macro that does the same thing. Wouldn’t really make a difference.
Also, this aint retail, you aren’t as stealthy as you think.
They could… but they won’t. A lot of addons rely on the combat log and they are not going to ruin them.
Enemies can not see YOUR combat log. I see this posted a lot in one way or another and it makes absolutely no sense. Spy reads the users combat log. It doesn’t have access to the combat logs of other users.
Having said that, your abilities will show up in other people’s combat logs… which is the whole point of having a combat log.
Oh Yea, if you’re a ranged class using SPY happy day for you, alert pops up gives you a tragetable button shows HP % Mana %, Class, Level, everything then all you need do is spam instant cast while turning around and looking until Bam got him hes dead…

What are you talking about. I can just hit TAB repeatedly but I have to have the guy in view for it to work. Does spy addon need a guy in view to target him? Or can you target people behind you with it without looking? How often are you looking behind you?
Do you know someone is there because of SPY or because you see them?
You can only click someone on Spy if they’re in range of you. But using the previously posted macro, you could still target the person even if the addon doesn’t let you manually click.
I imagine you could setup a macro to /target people as well if need be, maybe similar to how people have macros to target people based on their position in the party window.
