Mind Control

Does anyone else wish mind control was more useful? It certainly sounds like it would be powerful, but I haven’t found very many pve applications.

They specifically make it useless by making every elite immune to it. If they want us to use it in pve, they make a specific encounter for it. You are only allowed to play the way they want.

If they want to make it useful then it should retain full control of the priest like “control undead” for a DK.

Bolstering weeks its useful. as in first trash in shrine o storms, you can mind control the elite and kill the trash around it so as not to bolster the elite

Fade needs to drop the fixate post MC. And MC needs to allow more NPC abilities to be cast.

It’s utility should be getting buffs and stuff from mobs, and only remove them from MC if too gamebreaking. Can’t even use the renormalizer gnomes in Junkyard where as mages can just spellsteal the double dmg buff, how is that fair? Any other use of MC just slows down the run too much.

I believe the recent change on SL beta makes it so fade drops all threat… period. No longer for only 10 sec or w/e but just all threat like feign death and vanish.

Holy crap if they made fade an actual feign death. Yisss

Although this would mean you can’t fade and start going ham while tank is pulling either.

Dominant mind should be a shadow talent, and it should give you access to the mob abilities. It would help a lot in dungeons to be able to use the mobs utilities against them

Imagine Atal’Dazar if your group had a Bulwark of Juju available?

There are certain times mind control is useful in pve content. An example of that is is keystones where you can use mc on bolstering mobs to prevent them from getting stacks. There is also a mob in mechagon workshop you can control and deal absurd amount of damage. Outside of that though I do see the point that mind control does need a place in pve.
