After 10+ years farming it, I got the bad boy to drop. I’m happy I never have to go to Ulduar ever again.

I more or less gave up on trying, being semi-satisfied with the engineer made similar one.
I’ll probably try again, more for the additional mount # now.

Thanks, it feels good even after all these years. Not gonna lie.
That is the main reason I made this post. I genuinely wanted to bring a bit of hope to those suffering from bad RNG like me. Keep trying, it will drop.
My next nemesis is Azure Drake. Malygos keeps taunting me by dropping the blue over and over… sigh.

It’s been awhile since I tried, do you need to talk to the giant guy at the beginning of the raid for this to have a chance of dropping?
No, just kill the last old god boss. 1% drop rate.

The way to activate the hard mode for Yogg-Saron is to NOT talk to any of the Keepers prior to heading to the last fight. Just go straight to him and kill him and that allows the chance of the mount to drop.

Hmm it’s been awhile I just thought there was a guy with the dwarves that switched it to 25 man hard mode.
That’s gone. Ulduar TW and Ulduar(normal) exist now - 25 mode rewards are merged into “normal”. Hard mode(extra loot for a few bosses, doesnt apply to last boss) is the challenges like killing the heart of the robot then boss, or killing the trio boss small-medium-huge guy in order, ect. The dwarf your talking about only “starts” the instance but you don’t even need to talk to him, just mount and run to the tank boss and the rp will begin.

Ah cool ty, it’s been a million years since Iv given up on the mount. I knew they made a time walking version but wasnt sure on any changes.

The teleporter at the beginning used to let us skip to the second half of the dungeon, but then that changed somehow in a patch or an update and now we have to run in from the beginning. (Unless that changed again?) It’s not hard, just time consuming. I appreciate the later expansions making it so you can go straight to the final boss if you had done the prerequisite quests.
