Ok… so, why is my 'lock main showing up on the site as a level 45? And why won’t Battle.net open up at all? I get that it won’t log into WoW per the patching, but I’m used to it still being able to open at all and just say the game is unavailable. Apologies if this was answered elsewhere, but I’ve been through hundreds of threads and haven’t found any answers yet.
level squish. 50 is the new BFA max level. 60 is the new shadowlands max.

What about the Battle.net issue though? Is it unable to open up while the patching goes down?
Yup. they’re also doing stat squishes, retooling the leveling experience to make it faster, and changing a LOT of things with the shadowlands pre-patch. I’d suggest looking into the shadowlands changes.

I can’t tell you why you can’t open the Battle.net launcher, as mine opens fine. As for the level change, this is you level now. With this patch, max level is 50 for BFA and 60 for SL. You were 110 prior to the patch, so you are now 45.
Blizzard-related websites and services going down isn’t all that uncommon during long maintenance like this.

Whew, I guess the level squish will be OK… As long as they don’t remove my fatty corruptions I’ll be fine.

hmm wonder if people might get missed by the database update and end up in a world where they are 120 and everyone else is stuck at 50. would be funny for about a day.
