Mike Morhaime jump ship from Blizzard

We’ve yet to see what comes of the new CEO. He hasn’t been in the position long enough to fully gauge the effects.

I’ll weigh in more heavily after 2019 blizzcon. The 2018 con was a joke.

It really isn’t, we knew he would be gone in April and that hasn’t changed

Wrong, the aftermarket value has already crashed today after the news.

I’m pretty sure he DOES have a cellphone.

Brack will just be a Kottick stooge. He will do exactly as Kottick tells him. No more no less

Yup. It’ll probably go down further now that the cat is out of the bag about destiny.

It’s still an advertisement for some random Youtuber. I’ve never heard of them before today and I frequent this forum and other fansites.
Also this is 100% old news, he’s leaving in April, this was publicly known since Nov 2018.

Doesn’t really matter. I still have reservations about the manner of his departure. That wasn’t a normal way to leave a company you loved and founded.

I’m still sour about it.

I’m not the only one who is, either.

It was though… they did manage to stop sub bleeding a bit in the last patch though.

me and my friends were just talking about how great it was for bungie and destiny to get away from activision, too bad blizzard won’t be able to do the same any time soon.

We’ll have to wait and see how things go over the next year or 2 for blizzard, but things aren’t exactly looking the most promising.

Yeh, it looks way better in game than it does on the forum. It’s unfortunate because most of the gear for monks looks wretched on UD female outside of this one.

Well to be honest that fall off was more about the news about Destiny more than anything else.

it’s almost like the company was hollowed out over the years since acquisition.

If only we had any precedent for this

He basically alluded to this at Blizzcon when he was talking about changing his role. I’m sad to see him go, but I’m not surprised either. I’ll miss his awesome gnome voice and just general nice guy vibes from Blizzcon for sure. That being said if it already hasn’t been posted websites like Kotaku will be posting headlines like “BlIZZARD BURNING TO THE GROUND IN APRIL FROM DEPARTURE OF FOUNDER” anytime now.

You do realize that Blizzard was never “acquired” by Activision, right? Vivendi, who owned Blizzard, bought Activision and merged them together. This happened not even a year into Burning Crusade…
