This game is a sinking ship, it’s not about “doomsaying” anymore. Friend lists, raid teams, and guilds are falling apart and the only way one wouldn’t notice it is if they play this game mostly solo or pure solo. Sure, the servers aren’t going to be shut down any time soon but it’s no secret that it’s headed downhill population-wise.
I don’t blame significant employees for jumping ship, it’s more than a common trend for Blizzard the last handful of years but the game still isn’t going to die off completely yet - if that’s where this thread is trying to go.
OP come on this news is from last October… So he’s outta there for good in April… he’s retired. It’s actually sad, but the “strategic advice” isn’t going to go on forever.
I’ve actually liked this guy’s videos before, but he’s stretching for content here.
It seems a lot of people are leaving Blizzard. I just read an article about it the other day. Not all of them are big name employees, but a few people have left recently.
Well they squandered a ton of dev time on project titan. They salvaged overwatch from it sure. But titan also gave us WoD since they largly abandoned wow during titans development. With bfa they need to fix the classes and make them fun again.
It isn’t really a random youtuber. They are somewhat well known. It’s the buzzfeed of WoW news, effectively.
The information IS new though. He is splitting ties completely. I just don’t know how relative that even is to the company. For all we know he wasn’t doing much of anything already.
I have already sold my stock in ATVI before it crashed . Unlikely I will ever buy it again . Too volatile of a company right now with no real leadership
