Just rolled a druid and bumped it with my upgrade 110 bump. I’m going through a variety of PVP guides, specifically resto PVP, and everyone seems to be saying that Mighty Bash is the talent to take at 60 over Typhoon.
Can anyone explain this to me?
Both are instant cast, usable in all forms, but…
Typhoon can be used from range, mighty bash cannot
Typhoon’s cooldown is 20 seconds shorter
typhoon’s stun lasts 1s longer
Typhoon also grants a knockback
typhoon can affect more than 1 target
Not only does it seems almost foolish to take Mighty Bash…it seems like the dev’s overlooked how weak it is compared to typhoon. There must be something im missing, right? Anyone?
Mostly because Bash is a stun, and effectively stuns are the easiest way to set up CC chains with your partner, or even yourself for a Cyclone or Maim, even a root to keep someone LOS.
It’s still a talent that has it’s uses because it can be used as an emergency interrupt without locking someone out and hit’s multiple targets, especially fun in AB blasting people off cliffs or EOTS.
Typhoon doesn’t stun my dude, it dazes. Mighty Bash is the go-to choice for rated PvP. I don’t generally run Mighty Bash for Mythics, though and never for raids. Typhoon is the standard for M+ due to affixes like Sanguine, or to psuedo-interrupt casts or to stop “non-interruptable” channels like Riot Shield in Tol’Dagor.
But the second I start queue’ing 2vs2 or 3vs3, right back to Mighty Bash.
You use Typhoon in M+ and for fun in PvP, Bash in rated/world PvP, and Mass Entangle in m+ if you’re running more than 39 corruption in non-sanguine high keys.
