Is it just me…(been playing since, retail went live…)
or is Midnight just boring?
I will add this…while I recognize that Blood Elves are Horde…
It seems that every expansion or patch that has Alliance centric story
telling is badly done…
the initial story line for Midnight and initial quests for Midnight are horrid…
That’s precisely why I posted the question and the opinion…of course I have been playing it..
And for some perspective (while not leveled for Midnight…yet…) I have 30 characters all classes sitting at 80 while playing my main…so, obviously I definitely put in my time..and work a variety of content..
You’re not alone. I have been pretty bored. The latest content is pretty boring with no worth while rewards. Just more useless recolors of older remastered armor sets because Blizzard is too lazy to give us something new. The only thing I’ve been doing is delves, running older raids, and that’s it. I don’t have the time to dedicate myself to running current raid content, and lfr gear sucks since you can get ilvl 250-259 gear from tier 11 delves which are easy as sin.
I’d be more inclined to play more if Blizzard would stop being jerks and do legacy mode for anything TEN levels or lower and not eleven… But when has Blizzard ever wanted us to have fun? Heck, they don’t even do pet drops anymore from legacy raids.
I used to feel this about WOW a lot. It mostly goes away when I feel it.. I just log out.. it seems to go away then. Then maybe a few hours.. maybe a day.. two.. a week goes by and I want to play again and I log in. Oh no.. starting to feel a little board again.. well.. now I know the cure.. I log out again.
I do not need this game to entertain me 24/7 and honestly I don’t want it able to.. its nice to you know.. do other things.
Midnight isnt boring. You are getting bored with WoW. It happens. The story formula has been largely the same event sequence every patch cycle of the expansion. We underestimate the big threat for raid 1. We Defeat a lesser threat related to the main threat, to gain power to fight the main threat in raid 2. Then in and all or nothing gamble with the odds against us, we beat the main threat in raid 3.
Gameplay wise has also been the same. Classes play differently, but you level to max. Run raid and M+ for gear. You reach your content ceiling. You play alts or take a break.
Patch comes. You shoot through story quest. You Run raid and M+ to fully replace all of the gear you got last season. You reach your content ceiling. You play alts or take a break.
The story in WoW has never been amazing. At best it is passable. But it is always pretty formulaic.
I am kind of there too. I log on, and I dont feel like pushing toons from 3kio to 3.4kio. I dont want to pug heroic march right now, and the toons I would raid with, out-gear it. I log in and just kind of feel meh.
The same for classic HC. Those servers are quite lite pop right now.
Well, the .7 patch is going to have more story, so that’s something to look forward to.
Personally, I’m just raising Alts (which, admittedly, will be easier after the .7 patch drops) and the occasional Achievement.
