"Midnight Will Be About Blood Elves!"

Foreshadowing.

the bigger forshadowing is how the upcoming book isn’t about a single blood elf, but all void, high and half elves.

I’m fairly certain that we all know that Midnight is going to be about the Alliance.

  • The Alliance will have all of the limelight in the peak moments, narrative and glory.

The setting of all that will be in Quel’Thalas obviously and there will likely be Blood Elves all around the place — but they will simply have trivial participations in the story (In comparison to the larger picture) – and either be “humbled” or outdone by the Alliance’s factions of Elves and the Alliance’s heroes. :upside_down_face:

I’m still pretty unhappy how alliance high elves just shrugged and were immune to the lack of the sunwell and didn’t need it at all, proving blood elves were wrong. And this was before Void Elves were even conceptualized.

Blizzard really doesn’t know how to write a story that doesn’t harm Horde identity.

sigh.

They weren’t though, it’s emphasised in the books they struggled just as much.

  • In Quel’Lithien Lodge there’s also Alliance-High Elves who succumbed to their addiction and became Wretched.

Sadly however, there’s these pro-Highelf zealots amongst the developers now who seem to be eroding the Blood Elf identities and self-aggrandising the Alliance’s High Elves :face_exhaling:

Whether it’s a subtly applied retcon, forgetfulness, ignorant carelessness or an arrogantly proud retcon that’s applied over erosive tactics over the years is up for debate — but I’m tired boss.

The Horde’s races have all had their identities grotesquely ravaged, humiliated or clowned and the Horde in general sort of have too. Hence as to why ‘Midnight’ is the last straw for me and so many others, from a narrative standpoint …

I feel like this is getting to the point where some of you are just Abe Simpson screaming “AH DEATH!” at everything you can see. Just replace death with Alliance Bias

I mean High elf survivors from Dalarans destruction hanging out in Dornogal is somehow absolute proof that Midnight is going to be High Elves / Void Elves only?

Is there genuine criticism of how Blizzard has handled the Horde in the story? Yes. Absolutely. But this is starting to get childish.

But I will say I am eager to read the rationale behind these three High Elves pictured in the screenshot is somehow “foreshadowing” that Midnight will only feature High / Void Elves.

No — but the treatment of the Horde’s races, main-characters and overall faction is.

Especially in the greater scheme of things, those who are typically in the spotlight along with the one’s who address the more pressing issues and seize the greater glory in the narrative in comparison.

It’s why you’re seeing threads all over addressing it, from multiple people, who have masses of support agreeing with such.

But what does the screenshot have to do with that?

That is what I am asking.

Three random class trainers from Dalaran appearing in Dornogal following Dalarans destruction = Midnight will be Alliance only is what Dreadmoore is claiming here.

I think the upcoming book is more indicative of what the expansion will be like than random elves in Dornogal.

Can’t wait for the Alleria and Arator show.

Is it small?
Yes.
There are a lot of small things to take into account, and taking them into account paints a broader picture.

You aren’t wrong.
I was just getting my sweaty pvp gear made, saw those, and laughed at Blizzard’s inability to rein themselves in.

I feel like what you screenshotted is just a random thing to be calling “foreshadowing”.

Just saying. It makes you look like you want to be a victim. By claiming that three random High Elves are somehow “foreshadowing”.

Oh. I thought it was a joke.

There are Sunreavers in Dornogal, too.

Blizzard has been amping the alliance presence that will utterly, completely dominate Midnight.

I can’t think of anything that’s been Horde that Blizzard has tapped for Midnight with the exception of Quel’Thalas.

And we’ll see how long that lasts, lmao.

Those High Elves in the Screenshot are just class trainers introduced in Wrath Dalaran. And they have appeared in Dornogal since Dalarans destruction. So TWW’s launch really.

Like I said, this is just getting pathetic dude.

Oh, cool.
I haven’t seen them.
I thought Blizzard had just tapped one thing and basically flipped the bird at Horde fans.
Glad to see I was wrong there.

Lot of drama queens around here.

It is things like this that actually damages the case of trying to bring the Horde back to the front and center of the story.

Three non-characters hanging out = SKY IS FALLING is just plain silly and stupid.

No?
Blizzard is still writing expansions with Alliance leaders leading and talking about the Alliance, and having homes in Horde cities, excluding and removing Horde characters from planned expansion content (Baine in Legion, Cairne in Shadowlands – Lor’themar and Kael’thas in Shadowlands, Thrall in TWW, Bilgewater isn’t Horde in TWW), expansion media, and expansion books.

I would still say it does. It is drowning actual criticism with what seems to be petty nonsense and complaining. The fact that you actually felt like what you screenshotted and linked was somehow proof that Midnight is going to be “Alliance only” when said NPC’s pictured are just class trainers does feel like it is petty complaining over genuine criticism.

If Sunreavers weren’t present, it would be yet another example of Alliance-only content that Blizzard loves to produce. High Elves who will assuredly be present in Midnight.

Btw, where are the Sunreavers? I’m running around and I haven’t found them yet.
