Might be one of those “once you get past those things late into the expansion” things. I remember how much of a nuisance legendaries were as well, especially when you lost all that built up bad luck protection by getting a crappy one as your first drop. But once we could buy them, it got better.
it’s made for the folks that like solo content, and player housing types of things. Kind of like how TWW was a hit for that crowd.
I’m not upset, as I too enjoy those things, but, I think it’s fair that portion of the playerbase get an expansion that is targeted more towards them…many if not most of the previous iterations of this game were made for the hardcore player, or competitive guilds.
I think Lor’thremar using /spit in the cinematic is probably also a hint that even the toxic players will get some representation in the near future
Which unfortunately trains people to sit it out and only come back at the end.
But throughout the whole expansion, one thing was true - it was the last time I actually had big upfront burst as a fury warrior. Having 6.2M health and being able to do that in two globals was crazy. (Charge → Recklessness w/full rage talent → Rampage → Odyn’s Fury)
you SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION only explain one thing: YOUR ARE VAINILLA PLAYER DINOSAUR
blame a minimum crap of Legendarie items, they are items, gear but not weapons, since MoP the power of the legendaries was nerfed in items but not in weapons, so they are only purple items but with better effect, and it did not affect anything to what was the pinnacle of modern WoW, not in Cataclysm, not MoP, not even in WoD, but modern WoW was described in Legion and the future of the content for the next expansions that many people did not realize in hating it in what they loved in this expansion.
Shadowlands is the reason Blizzard and the community, which is more right than me, DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THEIR MMO. They wanted a vanilla experience, with a single path like the one-choice talent with the Covenants, no flying mounts, and a hardcore experience like the Maw, and they only hate it because of a controversy.
It’s not the expansion’s fault, it’s Blizzard’s fault, and the community thats asked for what they wanted, and that set the trend of controversy in making their #quitwow that year.
Cataclysm: Your complaint is the same result that vanilla players like you said after TBC, WoW isn’t the same due to other features of the game. You’re like Arthas’ widows who didn’t learn that the adventure continues after it’s over. You wanted to kill the Lich King. It was your feat, it was the greatest achievement and the most desired goal in RPG history. Blizzard did it, but now times are changing.
You had to be prepared for the CHANGE. You should have evolved with the revamp. You didn’t expect this to happen with the new Azeroth. Cataclysm was the foundation that would be Modern WoW, maintaining its aesthetics from the old content. You couldn’t hold up even during the WotLK changes, nor could it for the future of WoW.
So I would have liked a better reason for it to be a bad expansion, it’s not going to be, but if I tell you the FOMO will be seen in the lore, and it’s something that the change and new design like Liadrin, and the reuse of what was in BfA cinematic is the only bad thing that can happen but that is minimal for others who play this expansion.
