If I have a wish, I would love to have Midnight release on the first week of February.
Personal reason: going under the knife in Mid January (two clogged arteries) and I could play while recovering. This fat man is going to lose 50 pounds (I’m currently 310 from 342) and I am getting a second chance.
But a gift from the recovery time would be to play the expansion while at home with my wife.
Just a wish, not asking anyone to make it happen.

First off, good luck with the surgery and weight loss.
We can theorize a possible release date range 
Right now, 10.2.5 is on the PTR with an Oct 7th expect release date. So a little under a month to go.
Alpha is currently in “closed” testing via rumor. Probably get the Beta going before the holiday season and I’m thinking it will hit a few weeks after Legion Remix comes out. Let’s say early Nov for start. Maybe the 6-7th for it’s launch.
If that is the case, typical testing has been around 12 weeks. This could push 12.0 pre-patch to the first week of Feb. This would also depend on a lot of other things. There is a rumor of a 11.2.7 patch and possibly even a small 11.3 no-content patch. Both of those could fill that 4-month gap we will have between Remix and launch, but do have the ability to give the Devs a few weeks for any delays.
The one thing that you don’t necessarily want to see (I really want to see this) is the expansion releasing in March. March is considered a “dead” month of gaming. Nothing really releases here other than a few sports titles. I don’t know why. It’s not as bad as May, but still kind of a meh month. That is why I’d like it to come out there. Not a lot of competition from other games and good be a good spring time filler.

My birthday is Monday Feb 16th and I always take a long weekend off from work, so I’d be totally happy and ok with the expansion coming out something like Feb 10th so I could spend most of my birthday weekend playing lol.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Midnight gets released any sooner than May. We still haven’t hit alpha yet, and the only way I can see Midnight getting released in February is if the alpha is 2-3 weeks max before the game hits beta - which I don’t see happening.
Beta will most definitely be live by then, though, so there’s at least some silver lining.
I just hope I can play by then. I can’t drive my truck, I was told I was going to have a hard time walking, but if my hands can move, I will have a table on my bed and on the living room to play. My wife will be there, but I wish I don’t bother her much. i am definitely going to take advantage of this second chance. And thank you and everyone for your nice comments.

I too am hoping for an early February release. My busy season at work starts in March and I’m worried about missing a lot of season 1…. Of all the WoW expansions that have come out, Midnight is the one with the content I’m most looking forward to. I’ve been more hyped for Midnight since it was announced with the Saga in 2023 than I was ever for the War Within.
I don’t want to adult and work 60hr weeks during Midnight and I might have to in seasons 1 and 3!
At least I’ll have lots of extra time in Season 2 to catch up on what I didn’t get done in S1….
