Midnight pre order - $90 for early access to housing and expansion

Wowhead (or their users) have discovered that the Midnight pre order will have an epic edition for $90 USD including early access to the expansion, to housing, and exclusive housing decor.

You also get early access to housing via the base addition for $50 USD

The bigger concern is that they’re selling furniture pieces in there.

Literally won’t even get out of early access with housing before they’re selling this stuff.

A usual I’ll wait until the higher level editions go on a 50% sale, which by current reckoning happens quickly and often. Aside from the 3 day early access you’re not missing anything by just getting the base game to start

I am not really concerned whether or not they will sell furniture, or things on the in-game store. Due to the fact they keep the subscription price the same. So, thank you for the people who purchase things on the Blizzard store.

They literally said when they announced housing that they would be selling items in the store. Stop acting like this is some surprise.

You can buy tokens to buy the bundle if you so wish - you aren’t required to spend any money if you don’t wish to, everything is earnable in-game, esp with tokens.

We knew this was going to be the case when TWW had an early access for 90 bucks. They will never have another xpac without it again

Not an issue, they’ve sold extras/cosmetics in the upper editions forever. That’s the point of them.

Seems pretty basic and expected.

Wait, you actually thought they wouldn’t sell furniture stuff on the store?

Lmao

There’s always been cosmetics in the pre-order editions. Why would housing be any different?

  1. Misinformation, as every single edition has early access to housing— just like we had early access to DHs in Legion and Evokers in DF.
  2. Not a finalized list that was supposed to be released, so don’t take it as gospel in case it changes.
  3. Blizz literally told us they’d sell decos in the shop the same way they do for other cosmetics, so don’t act all Shocked Pikachu Faced.
  4. Yes, there’s going to be 3 day early access, because it’s not game-breaking in any way and gives zero player power advantage.

Let’s all stop acting dramatically offended by logical things marketing does and has done for years.

I had a funny feeling they’d link housing to pre-orders with early access to the system.

They’ve been doing that with features since Allied Races in… BfA? Technically late Legion, but when BfA pre-orders went out.

No surprises here.
Greedy buggers.

How much does self-control cost.

They offered early access with TWW.
No biggie they are doing it again.

It’s Priceless! Lol

Since housing is what I care about and not void/light stuff nor portraits of Xal and Alliance characters, I’ll save some money. Just gonna get the base edition at $50.

If true, I’ll do exactly what I’ve done since I got the old shaft years ago on an xpac … I think WoD. I got the “extra” where you got a flying mount, but alas, you could not use it until way way into WoD after you got the horrible pathfinder. At that moment, I realized it was (and is) only a cash grab.

I’ll get the base expansion and call it a day. Everyone who paid extra can work out all the nasty bugs in those three days for me.

Didn’t they also say very early on that most things would be earnable in game but some thing would be on the store? I remember them being pretty transparent about that.

Will there be an ultimate extreme collector’s edition that comes with a mount that doubles as a personal house?

I’d probably pay $500 for that
