'Midnight' - Major City: How would you feel, if

Exactly my point!

They kind of need to do it before they add player housing.

I mean, Midnight has been told @ Blizzcon to be returning to Quel’Thalas … Last I checked the Draenei area is a tad far away from there :eyes:

Although Midnight & Quel’Thalas aside, I would love to see Draenei culture revived akin to how it was on Draenor in their prime :dracthyr_nod: ESPECIALLY Auchindoun  The architecture & aesthetical vibes of that place (Alternate Draenor) were phenomenal :scream:

we’re coming for silvermoon in midnight , sorry not sorry

You sure? Check again

Yes but they could just have it where alliance has bases in the plague lands and get teleported over to it?

The way I see how it, blizzard is trying to update the TBC maps to be integrated into the open world maps. No more loading zones. Belf city will be central to the story I’m sure but it’d be sacrilege to ignore the Draenei in any story centered around Light and Void.
Also wasn’t the sunwell empowered by a Naaru? I feel like that could make more connections.

Just double-checked due to the gaslight there, thinking maybe they somehow moved it – Nopers, still the same place & very far from Quel’Thalas :joy:

Yes  Velen purified the heart of the Naaru M’uru — and reignited the Sunwell with said-heart , which resulted in the Sunwell into being reborn; but instead of purely arcane solely - It was now of Arcane and Light.

 Actually come to think of it:

That could be actually be good way to tie in the Alliance into being welcome into Silvermoon, that I’d actually be content with — In having Velen be the one on behalf of the Alliance to politely ask for refuge & acceptance into their kingdom as guests against their common foe and aid them with the threat that looms…

Given he helped restore the Sunwell and did so with humility & grace, I’d wager the Blood Elves would hold him in much higher regard than say Alleria or Vereesa :dracthyr_nod:

I just wasted a minute of your life. And you’ll never get it back :smiling_imp:

Checkmate, paladin

Separate cities. Revamped Silvermoon for The Horde. Floating draenei super-city teased in their heritage quest for The Alliance.

New draenei dalaran must come to pass.

Hardly a minute, maybe a few seconds :joy:
Was already looking @ the map for rares & their loot rewards in-game at the time anyway :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

:innocent: Checkmate Wannabe-High-Elf Void Elf

That being said, their ships were also empowered by the great power of the Naaru; so unless they find one to ‘bless’ their vessel – The best they’ll have is probably the small ship they’d salvaged from the one they already had.

… Although with that being said – Given we’d be defending a beacon of light on Azeroth (The Sunwell) I don’t see why A’dal wouldn’t allow one of his follower Naaru to assist the Draenei in achieving such a feat

Not as cope as your barbershop appeal & transmog void-elf, but thankyou nonetheless :smirk:

At least i show off what i have. You hide your hideous mug behind some lamp you stole from the draenei

While grinding rep for the Blood Elf faction out there the other month for timewalking tabard on one of my Horde, I actually had a thought:

There’s a good chance we might see the Void Elves taking over Deatholme - or even Windrunner Spire, and turning it into an Alliance city, run by Alleria and Vereesa.

Deatholme is literally in the Ghostlands, and repurposing scourge areas would make good sense for a revamp of the zone.

Meanwhile, Windrunner Spire is Alleria and Vereesa’s childhood home, so repurposing that would also have merit.

Deatholme makes more sense than Stratholme too, as it would mean they’d only have to revamp the 2 Blood Elf zones, rather than also the plaguelands, which makes sense from a development point of view.

No thanks. But why would Silvermoon be the Hub for midnight? Talk about hammering your Silvermoon obsession into the new expansion. :slightly_smiling_face:

Gross

I don’t think Alliance should hold official long-lasting territory within Quel’Thalas.

:dracthyr_no1: :dracthyr_no2:

Temporarily though?

Perhaps, similarily to like what was confirmed to have been established in the aftermath of BFA – with the Alliance having abandoned any holdfasts they had established on Zandalar as a show of good faith, after the 4th war had officially ended.

Looks like someone missed Blizzcon :eyes: … Should probably do your research before you comment

It’s not me “Hammering my Silvermoon obsession into the new expansion” lol, Metzen himself stated that ‘Midnight’ would see us return to the fabled lands of Quel’Thalas …

  • Chris Metzen: “The second part of the World Soul Saga is called World of Warcraft: Midnight. In this chapter, you will be returning – Ready? … To the old world … To the fabled lands of Quel’Thalas!!”

He then goes to detail some of the plot of the expansion, detailed of those lands – Including uniting the elves of those lands and making efforts to protect the Sunwell.

I’ve wanted the Draenei to be involved and have a new city/ship ever since I heard the BlizzCon announcement. The Draenei, or at least Velen, have a vested interest in keeping the Sunwell from falling to the Void, since they helped rekindle it in the first place back in BC, and it would make sense to get their starting zones on the main world map at the same time as Quel’Thalas. Also, in the case of a massive Void threat, a Draenei city would make a good place to fortify and operate out of.

As for Stratholme…I do want to see something done with it eventually, but I’m not sure it would make a good fit as a hub for anyone in Midnight. I’d rather see it be addressed as a separate story point. There’s so much heavy grief wrapped up with that location, both for living Alliance survivors from Lordaeron and for the Forsaken. Considering that Alonsus Faol is now undead, his own ties to the city, and that Calia was originally introduced in game as his protege, I’ve thought for awhile that if Stratholme is ever cleaned up, those two should be involved somehow. I like the idea of Calia making an effort to at least un-curse the city that her dear little brother wiped off the map.

I show off what I have too, as my garments shine :sparkles: brilliantly :sparkles: with the light & power of the Sunwell! :star_struck: … But alas, the light & power of the Sunwell is something you would know little about – Void elf. :triumph:

Yep, I’d be all for Velen – and by extension Draenei who are of likeminded manner & personality qualities of him, to have critical involvement alongside the Blood Elves

I would LOVE – if both Alleria & Vereesa dramatically failed to broker peace with the Sin’dorei for the Alliance entering into Quel’Thalas, only for Velen to casually rock up with sunglasses on whilst holding a vodka-moonberry juice, approaching Lor’themar by the Sunwell — Fist bump him, mutter something with him quitely, followed by Lor’themar burst out laughing and saying:

  • “Very well then! The Alliance will be welcome in Silvermoon under the leadership of Velen!”

Then have both Vereesa and Alleria simultaneously jaw drop with wide eyes, look over slowly to Velen & have him lower his sunglasses with a smirk and wink at them on his way out.

:sunglasses: Velen for the win

(One thing I am probably biased for — is Velen. Favourite character hands down :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )

…and miss out on emote laden responses with bold fonts and lol-breaks? You jiving me right?!! :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m vaguely aware of Blizz Con, probably forgot about it because it wasn’t exciting to me. Thanks for the reminder though.
