Midnight Is Gonna Be Lit

Midnight looking like it is going to be the best expansion WoW’s had yet tbh. Druid looking pretty solid. Only gripe is that I hope we get Renewal back.

Its gonna have some of the least people playing ever.

I agree. blizzard bringing back legion affliction warlock is enough for me to at least be interested. then getting rid of combat addons and designing encounters around their absence, I think could be something great.

I haven’t really followed much of the alpha yet. But the preview alone got me very excited. The zones all look beautiful. I’m excited to interact with the amani. The class simplification looks promising, though a lot of refinement is still needed. They already revised their plan regarding mythic tier mogs, so that gave me a lot of confidence in regard to their responsiveness to feedback. All in all, feeling very positive.

I suspect we will still have far more people playing midnight than we did playing WOD. By the time they dropped patch 6.2 they were down to 2 million players from 10.5 million and they had to put flying back in the game just to bring that number back up to 6 million before going into Legion.

It’ll be lit with whateve doodads in housing put out light.

Im curious if that’ll be the case. I personally doubt it because casual players make up WAY more of the playerbase than you think.

Unless you’re absolutely jazzed about housing I haven’t seen any information to support that conclusion.

Do casual players not customize their UI?

Im sure some do, but not to the extent of higher end raiders and M+ players.

Big class changes, transmog UI & QoL improvements & Housing? It’s gonna be lit.

Judging from the past few days and how unstable the game is, I have zero faith midnight is going to be good as I don’t trust the devs to be able to balance the game around no add-ons.

Every expansion since Wrath has had a drop in players.

thats a joke surely, right? ui customization is BIG with casuals.

anyways, yeah, looking forward to the housing. and new delves.

Silvermoon City and Zul’Aman look amazing, just saw the zone footage from Alpha.

Usually not with addons. The majority of the playerbase are casual players, which also includes even some Mythic raiders - because casual doesn’t mean “Doesn’t play any of the endgame.”

Lots of folks stick to minimal amounts of addons, but do make use of base UI customization. Even more so since Dragonflight since at this point there’s functionally no reason at all to use UI addons to change the default appearance.

Housing alone won’t have that big of an impact for folks with no interest in WoW, but for a casual audience being able to tell people “You can have your in Azeroth and as part of a neighbourhood” is a massive drive for people, simply based on player immersion.

Won’t drive new players, but old and current players are going to be far more excited to play Midnight due to housing.

Honestly, the alpha looks exciting for Midnight zones and story. Also looking forward to some of class changes like evoker shattering star going passive. But I’m hoping that they take the time to make sure accessibility stuff like screen readers still work, because I’m losing my remaining sight and will need that one day.

no it isnt lmfao. idk in what crazy land you think casuals even know how to customize their ui with addons or even know that they exist.

im beginning to wonder why players like you keep sticking around other then utter addiction and dependance

if i distrust a dev team i dont keep supporting the product they make. - this is the reasonable take, which you dont seem to have

Because unlike you I’m not weak willed enough to quit something before at least trying it out first.
