It says ‘expansion reveal’ 2025.
The expansion will not be dropping until 2026.

The road map clearly shows S3 going well into autumn and at least early winter 2025. Even if they skipped s4 it would be Q1 2026 at earliest. Any kind of S4 would have it solidly in summer 2026 if not later.
Which wasn’t terrible, at least on paper. DF mostly suffered from all the bugs that came with a faster cadence since they didn’t have the time or man power for proper QA. TWW is on the same path unfortunately.

Quite a lot. I don’t closely follow classic so I don’t really know what season of discovery is. But more of that. MoP: Classic. Fresh Classic Classic realms. Have a browse of wowhead. They have a few articles.

They never set a timeline (smartly), they said they WANT to do shorter than every 2 years.
This could be as much as 1 year 11 months.

2026 is the expected time for Midnight I believe, but I could see them doing late, late 2025
Well, at this pace, they will be 9 month expacs 
and I am here for it.Especially knowing we are getting housing next summer.

tbf, both complaints are valid
too long and you end up with 8-12 month content droughts
too short and you’re paying the same for less, df length expansions is about as short as they should go

$40 every 12-18 months is not terrible. Hell, I’m about to pay another $90 for Midnight, and another $90 for Last Titan… and I am good with it. Let’s keep this saga moving.
Expansion reveal not Expansion release. The reveal will be what we can expect from the expansion beyond what they’ve already told us. Dungeons, raids, zones, etc.
