Loons like Xel did want to merge with worldcore. Cool cutscene.
They named the patch Eclipse…
Me : - Elune stan heavy breathing noises… - ![]()
Spoiled by the Slack leaks, but it was sorta expected even without those leaks
I’m more shocked by the BLUE Elves coming in WoW:Forever than anything else. Blizzard will give people every flavor of elves except High Elves, I guess
These Wind Elves have got to have a /silly about being an Elf who is High…. In the sky…
Am I the only one who gets the feeling that the Azeroth from “behind the gate” isn’t the original, but possibly a decoy? The world core is a bit too orange, and it lacks that slight surrounding glow we saw earlier. Surprisingly few rings around her, even the Incarnates had more, plus that effortless entry by Xal. Something smells fishy here.
Blizzard sooner create a dozen neutral races of colorful thallasian elves than give the Alliance High Elves. XD
With the 12.2 reveal trailer that they showed off during the opening event, I guess it’s concrete proof that Xala’tath was in actuality that little girl from the Karesh cinematic.
Really hope Sky elves come to retail. They don’t have to make any sense . Blizz can just wing it like they did the void elves.
HoTS Xal might be a prelude to how the Xal fight will work.(minus the dark heart portion)
Xal’atath bald space baby confirmed.
I think it’s funny that she tells the door “you know what I am. You know what I want.” Ma’am, we don’t know either of those things.
She wants revenge
This entire bit with her has been about revenge and it’s very lame
I think its more than that. She felt powerless to the Titans before and doesnt want to feel that way again.
I wonder if she’s from a world that got reoriginated by the Titans.
Could be interesting. She makes a deal with Dimensius to save her world only for the Titans to come along and reoriginate, or flat out destroy it.
Except that’s not what happened. She was a bald 5? year old and Dimensius ate her world. We saw this happen during the 2D animated Karesh cinematic
Xal is probably the worst villain they have made. They have tried to make her motivations more complex than they needed to.
Makes me wish they did this trilogy with N’zoth as the big bad instead of her as they had built him up so much better over the years and he deserved a far better ending than what he got.
Even Azshara would have been more interesting as she had more build up the floaty blue elf.
I just really don’t care about at all about stopping xal or any of the charcters in this trilogy as they are melodramatic whiny babies.
If this isnt the intended story for her, then Blizz writers are deeper in their drug-induced stupor than I thought.
I didn’t think of that. I thought it was the Light that purged her planet. But the Titans make sense too and their devices often have a Light aesthetic. Blizzard also likes to characterize the Light and the Titans the same way now too.
Not a fan of either explanation for the destruction or that Xal’atath was once a mortal. I liked her as a cosmic entity that embodied the Void’s desire to consume. You can have a compelling villain who is also evil for evil’s sake.
My fears that Wow will finish like Starcraft with a giant golden lady fighting space c’thulu while we fight the minions are becoming real, I also considered Sylvanas or Alleria wold do it but, I guess Xal is wow’s new favourite Boss Lady
My worst fear has come to pass, Night Elf Paladins! Where did all that “Elune’s Light” go to? I get there can be groups of elves that think differently but still eewww. With all that golden light and they golden mount… I don’t know, I was at least hoping they would connect their powers to Elune as a source and given them white/silver spell animations.
We need race spell skins now more than ever!
Feels like they should’ve kept the original storyline instead of this. =/
- Finish Xal’s Storyline in TWW, with the aid of Wrathion and Ebonhorn.
- Give Arator’s Shadow/Light story arch to Anduin
- Queen Azshara storms Sunwell from the sea to bring in Dimensius, fought back with the aid of Alexstrasza and Kalecgos.
- Wrap things up in TLT with Iridikron and the Titans.
The WoW storyline with Xal’atath has dragged on for way too long without any meaningful consequences. At this point, the lack of impact has made the whole thing feel so incrediably hollow.
And if any major character dies, it’s going to be so hard to feel impactful because the story has spent so long teasing stakes without actually following through with anything.
Eclipse is just gonna come across as really shallow rather than genuinely tragic. =/
