Midnight: Arms

For context, this is all coming from a 2400 PVP exp Warrior, so I have -some- idea of what I’m talking about.

Blizzard, these changes to Arms Warrior for Midnight are disconnected at best. You are taking Avatar away from Arms, you are forcing us to have to choose between Ignore Pain and Die by the Sword. And you are nerfing Overpower, by giving it’s functionality to Slam, but not only that, you are nerfing said functionality to stack 10% x3 instead of 15% x2, but neither Mortal Strike nor Slams rage cost is being reduced or removed, meaning that to get an optimal Mortal Strike off, you have to spend -90- rage. But not only that, we still -have- to press Overpower, for a -chance- to Reset Mortal strikes Cooldown, and generate 10 rage, but also so it’s Cooldown can be reset by Tactician so we can get that goofy 10% damage buff. So the rotation will be; Overpower, Slam, Slam, Slam, Mortal strike, rinse and repeat. But also you’ll have to throw Overpowers in there at random for a chance to generate rage or reset Mortal Strikes cooldown. Oh and don’t forget you’ll also have to press any Sudden Death procs you get for Executioner’s precision: Arms rotation is already weird in The War Within because it’s this awkward shuffle between pressing Overpower to buff Mortal Strike, and praying that Mortal Strike resets it’s own CD or procs Tactician, otherwise you have to spam Slam and pray it procs Tactician, so that Overpower can -maybe- reset Mortal Strikes CD. And as is? It’s already rage starved with it’s filler ability being Overpower, which is free. But in Midnight it’s the exact same thing, but with you pressing slam x3 instead of Overpower x2; Which again, means instead of an optimal Mortal Strike costing only 30 rage, and three globals, it’s gunna cost 90 rage, and five globals, -if- you can even generate 90 rage over the course of five globals, which at the moment? You can’t. And I don’t think 50% auto attack rage after a charge for 5 seconds is gunna make that difference, and definitely won’t over the course of any lengthy fight.

Why has Arms devolved into this waddling, clunky ramp up spec of -tiny- modifiers and inconsequential Bleeds…

Not only that, you’re taking our only 70% slow, and turning into a 4 second 30% speed buff, that doesn’t even break roots or snares. Warrior is already playing the game with Walk toggled on the whole time, at least in PvP.
But nobody even runs Piercing Howl anyway, because Berserker Shout is -just better-.
You are nerfing Champion’s spear -again- so Classes no longer have to press an ability to walk out of it, they can just walk out of it anyway while it (I’m predicting) very gently pulls them to it.

This is shaping up to be one of, if not the worst iteration of Arms ever.
It’s sad, because most Warriors I know, including myself, would agree that MoP Arms, (a 13 year old iteration) is both better and more engaging than whatever the current and coming slop is.
