[SPOILERS] Midnight Alpha/Beta thread

It officially launches tomorrow but apparently there was some early preview because content creators are posting stuff on social media.

I see one of the flight paths on the continent map is the unused elf tower north of Stratholme that’s been there since Classic.

Completing a transmog set will give you the lower difficulty colors of it automatically.

Lothraxion is a boss in a dungeon in the Void zone. I didn’t get a screenshot of the stream I’m watching in time but from the sound of the description it sounds like it’s less that he betrays us and more he runs ahead too hastily and makes a mess of things.

Watching the Crendor Eversong overview now, and it’s amazing how a WoW youtuber with half a million subscribers can somehow give the impression that he’s picking up the game for the very first time. He has nothing to say about anything beyond “wow, cool.” He finds venders selling transmog sets and it doesn’t occur to him for a single second to control-click them.

I’ve muted the video and put on some music instead, it’s a much better experience.

Oh look, the void elves were a danger to the Sunwell the entire time, just like Rommath said they were.

Cry more about being kicked out of the city, you losers.

In the deep dive video they said there used to be a goddess in Harandar but not anymore.

The dungeon journal for the Harandar raid specifically says the goddess who used to be there, Al’haran or something like that I don’t have it in front of me, was taken. My current guess is that’s Azeroth’s real name and the titans moved her to the coreway when they started terraforming.

Void elf banishment vindicated. All my enemies in shambles.

That’s two windrunner sisters fought as raid bosses. Can we complete the set?!

Oh please let this not be a repeat of the Anduin fight where you just conk 'em on the head and they snap out of it.

If one of them dies, that would be the coolest thing the writers have ever done

oh my god please i need BODIES blizzard

failing that, I think this is still the first development from the void elf story that seems interesting. I’ve kind of always thought of them as knockoff illidari or ebon blade, suffery edgelord elves who must CONTROL THE DARK MAGIC in order to use it against the evil threat.

It would actually be a huge creative swing if, as it seems like they might be doing, becoming a void elf was actually acknowledged to be a bad idea. Who knew that swinging around the evil, barely understood magic like a child with their father’s shotgun might have consequences? it never has before (for alliance races anyway)

Maybe Turalyon dies and Alleria is so desperate that Xal control her? Because, if L’ura is the final boss in March on Quel’Danas, it leaves Alleria.

Maybe we fight Alleria as we fight Voss in the Barov Dungeon, and we exorcise L’ura from Alleria’s body.

Thus, L’ura becomes the final boss of Quel’Danas.

I’m just not understand the timeline here.

There is prints of Turalyon and Arathor in Quel’Thalas.
The Arathor questline said that Arathor need to learn to live up to “his father’s legacy”, that indicates that Turalyon dies. But this quest can be done in the begining of the leveling.

In a screanshot to the Void Zone, Lothraxion, Alleria and Arathor appears, but no Turalyon. He’s already dead? Maybe he was capture by Xal? To many questions…

There will be a Void Elf NPCs in the SMC.:eyes:

Red Shirt Guy on Twitter is saying that the Army of the Light get “Lightblinded” and go bad? Don’t know how bad or whether it’s permanent.

Loving all these twists and turns so far :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I assume we save Alleria by sucking L’ura out of her. Or Xal needs Alleria to go crazy in order to suck L’ura out of her.

It’s possible Alleria will die but I don’t think it’s likely.

Somethings tell me Alleria will manage to save herself and ultimately the void elves will be key to helping stop the void.

I dont think so, because Turalyon will probably die to, so I think only one of Arathor’s parents will die.

One of the dungeons or raids in the void zone (I think it’s the raid) has a council boss that’s a couple of bad Army of the Light guys but I don’t think it’s the entire army that goes bad.

Awww, that’s slightly less funny.

I was hoping it was going to be a “Void bad. But also? Light bad. That’s deep” thing.

Against all odds, Halduron and Rommath not only survive Eversong questing but (apparently) get a couple of cool moments and don’t surrender their jobs to the Windrunners or Umbric either. There’s time for such nonsense yet but that much bodes well. Can’t say I’m a fan of how hard Umbric is being pushed across Eversong, Voidstorm, and MgT but I’ll withhold judgment until seeing what else the blood elf characters get up to.

Also appreciative of the faction-flavored dialogue with Lor’themar, who tells the PC that Silvermoon has a rocky history with the Alliance and appreciates this help it isn’t entitled to, but also makes it clear to Turalyon that Silvermoon and the Sunwell belong to the blood elves and will be garrisoning this “Vanguard of Light” strictly as “guests.”

New Alliance exclusive High elf settlement (only one Alliance flight path ) in EPL above Stratholme, where the old lighthouse used to be.

That’s very big news for all Helf lovers.
