[SPOILERS] Midnight Alpha/Beta thread

I’m glad they did something with that old tower.

It sounds like we stop the void early on and then have to deal with Turalyon and the light goons.

I imagine it’s where Auric Sunchaser and the other high elves who returned to Quel’Thalas after TBC live. Wonder if we’ll see Vereesa and Silver Covenant survivors there.

Why do you think Turalyon is going bad? Because is more likely that Turalyon dies as a hero I think, for the way Blizz write about him and Alleria in TWW.

Because he’s the leader of the army of light and they’re apparently going nutty.

Almost like getting yourself corrupted by cosmic powers is a bad thing actually.

what if the liadrian goes nutty

While it’s obviously too early to say for sure I don’t think the entire army turns into villains. The Lothraxion boss description makes it sound like he just ran too far ahead of us and messed things up.

I dont think so, because Blizzard already said that we will deal with zelots in the Light, but will be a separete force, will not be the same or the hole of Army of the Light.

I believe is more likely that Lothraxion go rogue and part of the Army of the Light go with him.

For Turalyon, I believe he will die. Maybe a heroic death againts Xal, or Lothraxion will betray him for his convictions.

But with the new Book, Blood Ties, and the focus in a good side that Turalyon and Alleria have in TWW, is more likely that they will be portraid as heroes.

The mysterious fourth Silvermoon rep we heard about a little bit ago looks to be Murder Row. Crendor stopped by the quartermasters in his Eversong video and the Murder Row quartermaster was next to the Blood Knights, Farstriders, and Magisters ones.

I remember we could have get the Silvermoon Remnant reputation in the game for a time.

Would’ve preferred the Sunfury but that works. “Edgy” blood elves did need representation.

There’s also a magistrix who just straight up tells the player that warlocks and fel are not illegal in Silvermoon, but their demon summoning is subject to sanctions and a modicum of discretion is required.

Also, interesting detail in Neo Sunfury Spire (besides the fact that it flies now) is that the blood elf leaders’ seats are vacant and Silvermoon’s “royal guards” are rather guarding… Thalyssra. Maybe the regent lord has a regent lady while those three are busy in Eversong questing.

Is it called Murder Row or something else?

My understanding is that the Silvermoon Court is comprised of: the Farstriders, the Magisters, the Blood Knights and ___________?

The rep is called Shadow of the Spire, though the quartermaster is labeled [Murder Row Vendor]. https://i.imgur.com/liKqJQd.jpeg

I knew it! The locks in Murder Row just don’t want to pay taxes![/joke]

Also the warlock area in-game called The Sanctum is now Astalor’s Sanctum in alpha, with the bottomost area of Astalor’s Sanctum having fel crystals

I suspect Astalor is gonna be revealed to be a warlock all along

What a mouthful! Should have just called them Bloodsworn :stuck_out_tongue:

A thought occured to me. What if we will need to toss L’ura’s corpse into the Sunwell as a throwback to what we did with M’uru but this time needing to toss her void self to counter some of the Sunwell’s light.

Boom, we get a Twilight Well.

59:47- The throne in Sunfury Spire is seemingly gone, and for some reason Thalyssra is there with some other Nightborne.

Edit: Sunfury Spire is also Horde-only, and if you are Alliance, Nightborne NPCs will attack you.

A lot of interesting stuff.

I’m actually a little sad about the Lightbloom though. Sure, I understand why its there and happening, but it really ruins the beauty of the revamped zones. Which is the point, yeah, but I still feel a bit wistful that we could’ve had more of the original zones true to themselves than we do.

Updated SMC is massive. Puts Org/Stormwind to shame. I wonder if massive expansion capitals is going to be a norm going forward? Oribos wasn’t that big, nor were either Dalaran, or the Pandaria hubs, etc… but Dragonflight and TWW’s cities sure were huge.

Intriguing to see the old, “Quel’Thalas,” subzone that’s been around forever is getting an update and looks like it’ll be High Elven themed. Since it’s not been fleshed out with NPCs, though, I suspect it’ll be there for flavor, rather than story, since all the questing in Eversong should already be ready for testing. Either that or it’ll be used in a .5 or other future patch cycle. I don’t think there was ever a question that High Elves would be present. The answer we were given, however, doesn’t feel like it suggests they’ll have much to do with the story, for which I’m honestly happy.

I am so happy for that! I was worried the…err…cough…would continue in Midnight. I’m happy they both live, for now. I’d be heartbroken if they died…and to be honest I was so worried about any of the story beats in Midnight.

Honestly I’m happy to se Umbric as well, and that he’s also alive.
