Since seasons and raids are lasting for an entire year now. Should WoW add some new mechanics to the current raid and add increase ilvl rewards? They could do the same in M+ with scaling difficulty. They could also add rank 7 for the Korthia grind for a better crafters’ mark and other rewards.
Its not a perfect solution for a long content drought but it would keep people playing.
Maybe focus on getting AOTC and CE before asking for stuff like this.
Should there be two seasons per patch?
Perhaps.
The problem with scaling ilvl is the power creep.
It’s bad, and gets more bad as patches go. Look right now for example. The difference in power between 226 and 242 (not even mythic, just heroic), is disgusting. Having more power creeps and raises in ilvl mid-tiers would only make this problem worse.
But as for pvp seasons ending sooner that isn’t a bad idea.
Just have another keystone and arena season if the raid is going to last an entire year.
It’d keep things fresh for non-raiders.
splitting the seasons at 18~20 weeks would just be printing free content
it would absolutely fix a TON of problems the pvp scene has right now with inactivity
i don’t know how much it would effect m+ i know there’s certain weeks on the calendar that are push weeks and certain weeks that are just dead
so maybe trimming some of the affixes clearly nobody wants to play to make a tighter rotation and a shorter season would incentivize activity there 2
imo the only way they could do this would be to scale m+ valor upgrades/pvp gear up to be closer to or the same as mythic raid ilvl in the second half of the patch
benefits here are slight character progression without insane power creep since it’s just bringing all other content up to mythic level
at this point mythic is already in hard farm so it’s hard for me to see mythic raiders feeling slighted by this

In any case, like I said, more than one season for pvp and M+ per patch is an amazing idea. Especially with rewards.
I just don’t know if raising the ilvl should also happen. Maybe uncapped valor and Conquests and no restrictions (like X rating for upgrades) once the new season on the same tier starts it’s enough because it allows you to upgrade like you say.
