Why do you think they announced season 4 ahead of time, and are planning these rotated features? They’ve done 14 month droughts but this goes beyond the standard drought so they had to actually plan to release additional “content”, even if it is just rehashed older content.

That sounds bogus. Expansions have traditionally run for two and a half years, and it is absolutely nonsensical that the worst one would be dragged out for an extra year after the story already ended. This date is either blind conjecture or trolling.

2024 sounds way too far off. 10.0 alpha builds just showed up on Blizzard’s internal dev servers, suggesting that an internal alpha or friends & family test is imminent, meaning general alpha is maybe a couple months away. That would put release sometime in early to mid 2023, not 2024.

Blizzard just announced the release date of the expansion on a saturday, there is no link to said announcement in the OP, and the release date implies a year and a half of content drought through a very disliked expansion.
