Microtransactions, death of an MMO. RuneScape 3 did the same

Your insult game is weak, cupcake.

You’re here tilting at windmills for free and you sound mad. Which is worse?

I’m convinced guess I’ll be buying it for my wife & I now. Time to rock out as duo gnome dk fairies.

You’re defending a practise that is making the game worse.

It really is looking good that we got three deals of “6 month loyalty program” within a single expansion. Blizzard has to literally entrap players into subscribing.

Maybe you don’t want to accept it.

And you, like so many others, is being an overly dramatic child over this. How exciting and meaningful your life must be if this is the hill you’re choosing to die on.

Ofcourse you’d defend microtransactions my guy.

Don’t think you understand what “entrap” means. If they said you have to buy 6 months at a time or can’t play then sure, but otherwise you’re being super dramatic here. You have a choice to just pay 1 month at a time or not.

at least it’s not like genshin impact where you gamble for a tiny chance to change your playstyle and streamers just throw thousands at it. it’s sick.

The best part is if it wasn’t for the ability to hide on a low level alt and talk down to others, we wouldn’t even be here right now having these conversations. Wonder what this forum would be like if it forced you to use your highest level character.

I’d wager it would be less exciting.

Do they?

I’ve taken like one 3 month break and a handful of 1 to 2 month breaks over the past 16 years. Most of which didn’t have any enticing extras to do so. Since I started doing the 6 month blocks I’ve actually spent less money overall on my hobby.

Kek, imagine not seeing this as Blizzard trying to gain more subscriber count to report to their men in suits upstairs to get a big fat paycheck.

Shame on me for having enough gold to purchase tokens to buy stuff from the store, as well as having the cash to toss a little extra at the game from time to time. Seems like you should’ve made some better choices in life.

World of Warcraft (WoW) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) released in 2004

RuneScape 3
 first released in January 2001

Yeah, 3 years older than WoW is Ancient LOL!!

Yeah better choices. Spending money on a game you pay to play ontop of. Quality choices you’re making there mate

Has nothing to do with seeing or not seeing. You keep complaining about it degrading the game but I have yet to see 1 game play affecting purchase since the store even came out. You’re the equivalent of the doomsayer on the corner. I paid for my last two months with gold and didn’t play for a good chunk of BFA even with the last two 6 month promotions.

Kek, imagine how everyone else is obviously aware that a for profit company is trying to make profit.

More news at 11.

Why do you assume we don’t get that because we don’t agree with your extreme babyrage?

Only thing I can think of is OP’s mom said no and they came here to vent their rage. Deep down OP just wants to be a pretty fairy dragon.

You’re really doubling down on the jealousy. Maybe less time being a troll on the forums and more time making money you can spend on those sweet, sweet, game destroying mogs.

This is the only viable excuse that I will accept.

Oh so pretty.

There is nothing wrong with it. No one needs those wings. People have been asking for years for ‘loyalty’ bonuses and these perks for paying ahead of time is basically that. People who plan to play for 6 months, no reason not to do this because for them it is literally free.

Ancient for a MMORPG as majority of MMORPG’s dont last really long cause they typically suck, they are money grabs, and they are out of touch with their communities. Runescape, Everquest, and WoW are both ancient MMORPG’s compared to the life span that the majority of ALL MMORPG’s on average.
