They basically invented the money grabbing issues in the gaming industry today and are some of the worst offenders. Expect to see less quality and more in game shop items once they get settled in.
I thought Todd Howard did, with his Oblivion horse armor?
Nope. Microsoft is the grandfather of micro transactions.
I would love some examples that predate Oblivion.
I’m sure the sky will fall any minute now.
It’s not really something that’s up for debate.
…That’s what I thought.
I’m surprised you didn’t get a “google it!”
Facts don’t care about your feelings
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone crumple so quickly when asked for basic evidence.

Would you rather they just double the monthly sub fee?
I don’t care, either way. WoW is very inexpensive to play.
I already did. I just expected the OP to do the same before posting this thread, that’s all.
Neither have I.
but the first was the arcade machines where you put coins in to get power ups
So…nothing will change then.
It’s not that inexpensive and it will only get more expensive when we get carbon copy xpacs every 6-9 months.
Well that was your first mistake. Thinking someone took the time to google something lol. Too many people are far too lazy for that one.
Pffft. We can go back further than that.
How about kings who somehow always won their games of croquet played at court?
Oh noes. I might have to cancel my Netflix account I haven’t watched in over a year to compensate.
We are not getting expansions every 6-9 months. Good gravy.
