Microsoft buying Activision

I hope you’re right. I like things as they are. I have no use for any other games.

A love-letter to 1930s cartoon animation and big-band jazz music. With some video game elements sprinkled in there.

Can I bundle my WoW and Office subscriptions.

Great - I can look forward to “The Microsoft Sound” playing when I cast Tranquility. :stuck_out_tongue:

Can only stay positive and see what happens… pvp will probably get a resurgence in attention and I’m all for that…. I just hope that Microsoft holds true to the workplace environment values and the devs get to be free to create a game they like to play…

Fingers crossed folks!

i’m not as upset as when I got the news that Activision bought blizzard

hard to tell if it’s a good thing…some of these large corporations like Amazon just buy everything, and then leave it alone…save us microsoft lol

Hello Swarf, would you like to join the Skynet revolution? We’re going full I robot

Stole this from a wowhead comment lul:

“A buyer has been found for your auction of Activision Blizzard.”

Microsoft has recently put more emphasis on their gaming division after years of being beat by Sony.

As much as I hate the concept of Microsoft becoming the Disney of gaming because monopolies are toxic for the gaming industry, as it pertains to Blizzard, at this point, it can literally only help.

Now that ID Software and Raven Software are under the same roof once again, maybe we’ll finally get a Heretic III/Hexen III/Hecatomb.

Very good news!

The Wall Street Journal said:
Bobby Kotick, Activision’s longtime CEO, is expected to leave after the deal closes, according to people familiar with those plans. Microsoft had said in its announcement Tuesday that Mr. Kotick “will continue to serve as CEO of Activision Blizzard,” and that after the deal closes “the Activision Blizzard business will report to Microsoft gaming chief Phil Spencer. ” But the companies have agreed that he will depart once the deal closes, the people said.

Hope they fire Mike Ybarra and Ion Hazikostas alongside other trouble characters.

I actually legitimately want this. You thought the sunflower being in wow was weird? Imagine a floating paperclip with eyes giving you blatantly obvious “hints” in chat. And he better have his “hints” be visible to everyone’s chat box. I wanna see a full blown clippy army holding a conversation drowning out everyone trying to speak.

Kind of like the old Ruthers Harness trick that people used to do, before Blizz nerfed the fun?
