Just reupped my sub, played the past 2 or 3 days in Cataclysm w/ no issues. After today’s downtime I’m getting UI microstuttering in game, very noticible. The GAME does not stutter at all, 144fps right where I set it. Its JUST my mouse cursor in the UI that has this microstutter. As a healer using vuhdoo or healbot actually makes the game near unplayable. Have already tried disabling and deleting all addons as well. And played w/ every graphical setting in the menus, Didnt fix it.
little context if hardware matters:
-Played for years on an old i7 7700k w/ an rx 6750 gpu never had any issues.
-Just build a new system w/ r7 9800X3D and same RX 6750 for now.
Any help, links to articles, or suggestions would be appreciated.
Next step likely will be a full ui reset, which just deleting addons would not accomplish. Maybe delete the cache folder first just to test. Was there a patch? If no then nothing in the client should have changed. Just server restarts I thought.
Maybe check your windows mouse settings as well. Maybe your mouse dpi changed, causing it to slow down and appear different. My mouse has buttons by the scrill wheel I’m always hitting and messing it up.
Yeah, i was going to try a fresh install on a different hard drive. Mouse is fine, OW2 / CS2 having no issues. I regularly flip between DPI settings. No stutter in retail, its just Cata. Will report back to this thread if I find anything makes a difference. TY sir
