Thank heck! 10.1.5 is bringing us a new and improved Micro Menu! Huzzah!
Current:
10.1.5:
I don’t think I was alone in seriously disliking the new one with got with the UI overhaul. All minimalist and grey, it made the icons very difficult to discern at a glance. This new one looks fantastic and a zillion times better in my opinion. Much more of a revamp of the old one.
Got to be honest with you… I’m kind of not fond of the new 10.1.5. It still seems rather basic in it’s art style, and the lack of noticeable shading from the old one that makes it pop a bit, makes it look kind of cheap. Ngl.
Do you have a personal problem with my opinion that you’re topicswitching into something completely unrelated, or are you just purposefully being a contrarian?
I’m not going to lie about my opinion, because i don’t really dig the UI changes all this much in Expansion so far, and this second change artstyle for the UI for the micro bar hasn’t really changed my mind on it all that much.
If you like it, that’s fine. But what’s the actual problem giving criticism on this?
Very odd that you target me in the manner you do, out of others who don’t like the newer artstyle either. (judging by the comments here so far, at least.)
But the artstyle in that game, matches with that game. Not because it’s a cartoon, but because it fits with the game and the aesthetics is trying going with.
I mean i guess to scrunch up some mild credit to Blizzard, at least it’s better then just having bland and pure white with basic shapes and such for the UI with no personality to it what so ever. But that’s also applied to their old UI back in Shadowlands.
I’m glad for it. I don’t care about the art style - if it’s ‘basic’ or ‘cartoony’ or not. I care about being able to actually see the buttons. And as someone with poor vision when it comes to contrast, this will actually be a noticeable improvement to my play.
You’re questioning me for giving Feedback on UI?..
Do you question everybody who gives feedback on UI? Because so far, you haven’t done that to others but me…
Basic doesn’t always mean it’s good. If it fits the style of the game is trying to go for, then good, but WoW is a mix of Reality, cartoon and fantasy. It has an iconic artstyle.
Are you just grasping straws to take any personal issue with me at this point?
Subjective.
I’m not saying you can’t like it, i’m saying whether any of us like or dislike it, is subjective, and you’re seeming to forget about that.
And having colors, doesn’t mean i can’t look at the artstyle.
Cept it’s stay on the screen, and it’s not something to get rid off with the base UI editor.
You’re talking about something completely unrelated that has nothing to do with the thread.
I question your protesting over only my subjective opinion on this UI update. And i question how you think this topic and transmog are the same? lol?
Grasping for straws much?
I don’t know what’s your malfunction with me exclusively here and my first comment (which is a subjective opinion all things considered), but it’s completely childish that you’re picking a fight and causing drama, and harassing me over this. I’ve not shoved it down your throat nor called it or implied it to be objective. If you think i was, then that is on you.
I would recommend you look at the CoC, because nowhere in the CoC, says anything against giving negative feedback.
…But apparently not with me since Zumakind seem to have a vendetta against me, (considering he’s not complaining about the others two comments atfer mine that disliked it. I got nothing else on why he came atfer exclusively me, so that’s the best i got on that)
…Yet he’s trying to call me out for hypocrisy…?
He’s acting like i’m shoving this opinion of mine down his throat or something, when my opinion is simply subjective.
I like the newer one some people have visual problems like my bro does i have to color code the whole house now,you can imagine how it’s like in the game.
Using ElvUI I had no idea the default micro menu wasn’t color. Mine is colored and remains hidden until needed. Hope 10.1.5 also adds that functionality.
