Micro Menu Icon Size Fix, When?

While minor…

This is still a persistent and annoying issue that “seems” like it would be some low hanging fruit to knock off the know issues list.

Low hanging fruit is only a good thing when the existing Dev team isn’t swamped working ungodly hours trying to make core systems work before unrealistic deadlines.

I accept that may be the case with the work load, but I doubt that the people working on the core technical and systems issues are the same people that would be working on fix like the icon sizes.

I just want to be able to move around the group finder blinking eye thingy.

What’s weird is I noticed it’ll appear bigger on some characters than others but they use the same profile… what’s going on? :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

UI scale? Think that’s a per character setting.

No I don’t have it scaled special. I looked at everything. I ended up sending in a ticket for a fix.

Maybe you inadvertently edited the template on some characters so relative to something else it looks bigger or is overlapping more?

For me, I use a standard template for all my toons as well, and the new icon bar doesn’t fit it.

Which gets to the point of the post. Do I bite the bullet and come up with a new layout for all my toons that works with the new size are deal with the haphazard temp adjustments where I moved things out of it’s way until it gets fixed.

If you aren’t opposed to using addons, “Drift” and “Edit Mode Extended” are capable of this.

I used a Weak Aura to resize it, but every time I get out of a mini game or cutscene it reverts and I have to reopen the WA window for it to go back.

Probably the same thing that’s causing the position of my HP/Resource bar to keep shifting back to where it was before, even after I’ve shoved it in the topmost left corner and hit save.

Every time I either log on a new character, or log back in on the first, it resets it back to where it was, and I do not know why. No other UI element is acting funny like that for me.

Minor? Sure.

Annoying as all heck on top of the annoyance of this oversized micromenu element? Most definitely yes.

Guess this one got put in the round file cabinet.

Master, it appears that despite being listed as a know issue in a blue post, this issue is no longer known.

I’ve been avoiding yet another addon, but looks like I may have no choice. This is getting tiresome.

Download the addon called “Shadowlands Micro Menu”. It replaces the awful new menu icons with the old versions.

Didn’t they fix this? I’m pretty sure you can rescale it with the default UI now.

Mine is the same size as my action bars and it set to 100% with no way to make it smaller.

Same, well not another addon. But re-doing all my layouts. You shouldn’t need to install another addon to deal with a simple know issue.

Just one of those things. Not a reason why people would quit the game. But it’s a straw on the back of the camel for if they do. They need as few straws as possible.

This long waiting for basic bug fixes is why we should be getting toggle options on what type of UI designs we want to use - not forced into the new one, which oftentimes ends up being worse in some way for some folks.

Guess we’re adding this to the pile alongside fixing garrison statues, fixing the numerous bugs in old raids, and probably a heap of other things I’ve forgotten about. :dracthyr_shrug:

I’d be interested in this, were it not sounding like as much of a minor annoyance as me constantly having to fix where my character HP/MP bar is every time I log in (because I want it all the way up in the left corner, but it keeps defaulting it back into smushing against my pet HP bars any time I relog or reload), all because for w/e reason it doesn’t seem to be actually saving my placement despite hitting save. :dracthyr_cry_animated:

The last UI update was awful in part because the entire UI seems to have weird bugs like this now, where it didn’t before.

edit: just realized this is a thread from 2 months ago, my god. Sorry for responding to an older post of yours, Sendryn. :dracthyr_crylaugh: I only noticed now, rip.

Just makes it even more depressing that this has yet to be fixed, though.

Yeah, this is the bug. Edit Mode doesn’t allow you to reduce the scale below 100%. It’s been in their known issues for a bit.

I think I’ve just gotten used to mine because I no longer notice the difference. Either that or mine mysteriously fixed its default size like some have said. It’s the same size on the 10.2 PTR as well.
