When will they have microphone for heavy breathers? I have Lunger and I really want to talk on mic. It’s been disabled for me for about 6 years.
Push to talk?
Just use push to talk, honestly I hate it when people use open mic even when they aren’t a heavy breather.
If you have an nvidia GPU, download Nvidia Broadcast and you can setup noise removal and then point whatever program to use the Nvidia Broadcast output rather than you direct mic and it should filter out most of it
Push to talk is probably the best solution here.
Simple, easy, and effective.
If you’re really worried about it, I’d actually look into software to remove background noise. A lot of AI software out there these days.
But sometimes, the simple option is the best option.
Push to talk. Or even a headset that has a toggle button on the ear / wire. Same concept but may be more comfortable for you.
I know, when you just hear their kids screaming in the background every 4 seconds, or their dogs constantly barking even when they don’t talk…that’s usually when I want to boot them from the server.
Stop breathing so heavily and you can use any mic you want. I mean, afterall, you’re just sitting down.
You should ask this question on a music/recording forum. I think with the right sensitivity and microphone type and proper configuration you can achieve what you want.
- Dynamic Microphones.
- Large Diaphram Condensor Microphones.
- Small Diaphram Condensor Microphones.
- Ribbon Microphones
Razer headsets tend to have good noise filtering. You can also activate Krisp in discord. I’m pretty sure if you have an Nvidia RTX video card they have Nvidia RTX voice or something like that for more noise filtering.
Just turn on push to talk.
I think OP would have better result with a stand-alone microphone than a headset.
I hate hearing other people’s kids crying in the background. Or their wife/gf telling them to take the trah out, only for them to yell “I’ll get it in a minute!” with their mic still in their face.
I also CAN’T STAND people’s mouth noises. Lip smacking and their disgusting salvia sounds make me want to throw up.
There are some people who will pay a lot of money for this lol
If you’re using Discord there’s in app settings that can accommodate that. That’s more of a software thing than a hardware thing unless you run a DAW /mixer where you can manually adjust the sensitivity.
A gem from my pug raidin’ days was hearing someones kid just screaming for like an hour and I yelled “YO ( player name ) TURN OFF YOUR BABY”
Sometimes I put the mic right under my nose, so when I exhale it keys the mic. I’ll do this till one of my friends tells me about it. It’s mainly for my own pleasure. Other times, I play a recording of me breathing into the mic with my nose on loop and go AFK.
Push to talk, for sure.
HyperX cloud II has good noise cancelling, but nothing will ever beat using p2t
I use a desktop microphone a cheapy ONN brand from walmart. I then use bluetooth headphones. I have discord set up so that the sensitivity doesn’t key the mic unless I am talking. I play in my basement in the furnace room and it doesn’t key the mic when my furnace kicks in so it works well for me.
