Name: Bellatorx Boltgear
Race: Goblin
Class: Death Knight
Guild: Flashbang Exports
DESCRIPTION:
This strange-looking goblin looks like she came out the wrong end of a bad experiment. Bellatorx Boltgear has greyish-green, patchy, mottled skin that looks like it belongs on a half-rotted corpse. It is wrinkled and flaky, and looks in places to be so thin, that it may have been burned. Her hair is purple, wispy, and thin, like you might find in an elderly person, or even a ghost. Her eyes are hidden behind a pair of thick, round glasses, but appear to give off a faint, fluorecent green glow.
Bellatorx is of average height for a goblin, at 3â7". Her body is somewhat robust, but also quite matronly. She has a solid bosom and a round belly, with thick legs that resemble tree trunks. Her ears are large by goblin standards, and are chipped around the edges - like a cat who has been in many fights.
Bellatorx is generally garbed in a mixture of plate and brown leather. Sturdy, rusty plate adorns her shoulders, elbows, chest, and knees. She likes to keep her hands supple for when the situation requires it. Around her waist she keeps a leather workmanâs belt, filled with archaeologistâs tools like hammers and chisels. Her chosen weapon is generally a large mining pick.
BACKGROUND:
Bellatorx Boltgear is not really a death knight, at least not in the usual definition. True, she did come close enough to death to get a taste of the other side, and she has never been the same since.
Several years ago, Bellatorx survived a terrible holoclaust explosion, one which occurred in a remote underground archaeology digsite of the Steamwheedle Preservation Society in Deadgrin, Gorgrond.
On that occasion, when the artifact, âGrogryxlâs Shield of Hideous Deathâ was unearthed, Bellatorx was exposed to a lethal dosage of cosmic radiation, and in fact, she was the lone surviving member of the excavation team, all of whom perished in a horrible, fiery blast. A large number of Laughing Skull orcs also perished by falling into the deep hole that was exposed.
Bellatorx happened to be standing behind a crumbling pillar at the time of the explosion, which to her good fortune, protected her from the worst of the blast.
But not all.
Immediately after the incident, flakes of her skin began to fall off, leaving patches of raw, diseased-looking flesh. The remaining skin was cracked and parched, like an aged statue. All of Bellatorxâs hair fell out, and when it did finally grow back, it was a strange purple colour, wispy like spiderâs silk.
To make matters worse, her eyes became very sensitive to any kind of light, even natural sunlight. They changed to a greenish hue, the colour of fluorescent limes, and she had to wear specially designed sunglasses to block out the glare.
Fortunately, the Steamwheedle Preservation Society did offer Bellatorx a generous lifelong compensation after the accident, especially after she risked further injury by returning the artifact in a sealed reciptacle. Promoted to a deputy curator position, Bellatorx now enjoys categorizing rare objects and beasts in her spare time, when she is not busy digging.
