MFA busted for Desktop

With the recent changes to how we MFA into the WoW forums (merged the Authenticator app with the battle.net app) I can sign into the forums using my mobile safari browser, yet on my desktop after entering my email/password I receive a battle.net push notification, yet the login screen redirects back to the login screen after literally 2 seconds or less.

I have tried chrome, brave, mozillla, and other desktop browsers to no avail (including cache clearing). The OAuth protocol is being used, which is better than nothing, yet despite trying every other method possible the desktop OAuth is still jacked. Is there any other alternative method on the client end to get this resolved?

Also as a side note I’d prefer to use yubikey instead of the Authenticator app as it’s far more superior to OAuth & SAML.

Also for the record this is specific to the forums, and not the account settings site.

Why do we have separate sign-in requirements for the warcraft site and forums? Terrible design on the backend given I do this for a living

Sounds like you’ve got some atypical setup going on. Try disabling any paranoia stuff like VPNs, disable all addons in your browser and reset the browser to stock settings. Hate to be that person, but this sounds a lot like a you problem, not a them problem.
