Method's comments on being Second

“Nobody remembers you for being second, no matter how little you lost by. Who is the guy who climbed mount Everest second?”

Seems fairly upset over the loss. I feel him though; being second after being on top for so long must feel deflating.

Second place is just the first loser.

I don’t know who climbed mount Everest first. Whatever

I won’t remember who did what first years later.

No one’s ever going to remember who beat a WoW boss first, either.

The raiding communities memory is pretty long. Maybe non-raiders don’t remember, but many of us still remember top guilds in EQ. Reputations can last a long time.

Nobody is going to all of a sudden forget who Method is in 5 years, we’ll remember them.

Considering how US has a 24h advantage, I am still surprised how they’re still lossing world first races.

The good news is 20 years from now no one will remember or care in the slightest about any of so-called “achievements” managed in a video game. So its not like they lose out on anything.

I dunno, who’s “Method” to begin with?

I don’t know who wins first either.

EXACTLY! But you will definitely know when YOU climb Mount Everest. Sequential humans and their competitions with other sequential humans…always compete with yourself and make gains against your younger you - that’s true and everlasting competition.

“Do you remember our wedding day, dear?”

“No…hey, remember when Method cleared Uunyat second?”

Nobody really cares but them, though.

That’s normal. Not surprised with their reaction…

I don’t think many people have cared about world first since lich king died tbh.

I have no clue who killed any cata, mop or wod bosses.

I actually think it’s nice to see a new name at #1 for once. Method can be dethroned for awhile.

^ This lol. I mean, my first guess would be Method but I don’t even know who the world firsts were last expansion and beyond. I mean I could go to wowprogress and see but that can be the same for using google to see who the 2nd person who climbed MT Everest.

It remains the most watched event outside of maybe PvP tournaments in regard to WoW. I would agree with your “not many” comment on the fact that only about 5-10% of the games population probably cares. It’s still a good amount of people!

Agreed.
