Also why no one really cares for world first when its been dominated by the same people/group.
4 weeks from now. Check forum in the morning “oh, shockin, Method cleared the mythic raid first playing non-stop for the past 2 weeks.”
Raiding has lost its charm for some time now. At least when there was tier sets and great trinkets it was worth doing. Now you just feel obligated to do it out of tradition and if you are into the lore/story.
I am glad gear progression isnt locked behind a weekly raid clear that relies on a large group of people.
Until recently rewards were appropriate to the difficulty of the content. Only recently has blizzard started catering to lfg heroes and it didnt help them, if anything it made the game even more boring because they had to add farm mechanics like azerite and artifact knowledge in order for you to have something to do which messed up alting.
I sort of agree with this. I like to raid but its a pain and the rewards kind of suck for the effort required. Its why I dont even attempt to do any mythic raiding. Heroic this xpac feels like a chore. With a mythic + I always have something to do, I can log in for 60 minutes anytime I want and run one.
There are some things they could do to fix it, add tokens like in WOTLK, fix raid scaling to work with all raid sizes(cant tell you how many fights become much more difficult with 10 people vs 20), add tier sets back and make them op and add more azerite.
Although I wouldnt mind if raiding went away and they started adding more dungeons each patch and just had the story go through them.
Mythic 10+ rewards were way too good for the difficulty. I’m down with them lowering the 10+ rewards. The old system was lazy.
What I’d like is for them to increase the 15+ or more rewards to closer to mythic. Give people incentivize to push higher keys than 10+, fail, and collect your loot.
Not in my book. Mythic Plus has sucked from the beginning and I only do them when there’s a weekly WQ. The joy of dungeon running has been completely sucked out of the game.
OP they proved that fact back when method beat limit for WFs mythic azshara only after a nerf that was holding them back which limit had already overcome
the item levels should be exactly the same, with acquisition rates tuned so it takes a similar number of playing hours for a given bit of loot.
20 players running mythic raids for two hours a night three nights a week is six hours times twenty people or 120 man-hours of effort.
the average rewards recieved in those 120 played combined hours should be on average the same relevance and power as 120 player hours for a five man group, or 120 hours invested by a single player on their own.
hours invested in running content should be rewarded similarly.
So on the PTR they implemented the fix that limited the rewards to season 2 values in preparation for launch and the OP (and others) started freaking out. Even though they did exactly the same thing on the PTR when they transitioned from season 1 to season 2. And when they were told that their response was, ‘well they didn’t explicitly tell us that so it must be a nerf!’ The adjustment was put in by the release candidate to ensure that the new mythic+ values and scaling didn’t start until the opening of the actual raid (which came like 2 weeks later, the whole delaying the raid and ending the pvp season thing they do now). Which is why this thread was stupid to start with.
no, i’m saying the average hours required for you to invest your time to get a given amount and quality of reward should be the same., or approximately the same. you can adjust for some things without screwing any one group of people over.
if it takes 25 people an hour to run a raid and down a boss, then there should be a path for 5 people to quest, grind, daily, pvp, or whatever, to get the same equivalent level of gear reward in 5 hours of their time invested. 25 people for an hour or 5 people for 5 hours is the same equivalent “hours of a person’s time” invested.
that way casuals get their gear, albeit slower, and raiders can work together and go get theirs faster.
He knew that. He was just being obtuse and trying to create as ridiculously large of a number as possible when everyone knew his comparison to progression on a mythic end tier boss was complete trash.
Its not grinding for me. I like it, most of the time. Certain affixes makes couple pulls awful but hey, thats m+.
For me grinding, i repeat FOR ME, is raiding. I cant deal with all the scrub ranged dps being always msx ranged alone in their ccorner whinning about not getting heals.
I dont know why you allow yourself to talk for 97% of the player base but it def fits your name.
